FS#5779 - /help has no command to use a potion
The /help system, under items, has no command to use a potion. How do I drink a potion? There should be something in the help system about this.
Just equip the potion in your inventory.
For shortcuts etc:
/use (<amount>) <itemname>
Is there no help entry for /use?
I seem to recall that I looked up /use and didn't find anything uselful. I then tried it and it didn't work.
Even "Just equip the potion in your inventory" is confusing - apparently it has to be dropped onto the mini-me in the center, and I never would have thought of that on my own.
My suggestion is that, after right clicking on something, that the information pop-up have a 'use' button.
Yeah, the /use description could be a bit better. It doesn't include [quantity] at all and if I remember right I also never mention that paramters that include spaces (like the names of potions) must be put in quotes. And i never got to write the general section about the inventory and item usage (equpping weapons, dressing, eating…) so that is of course missing. ;)
But the whole help.xml (in "<planeshift-installdir>/data") is GPL licensed..so feel free to add whatever you think is missing and share it. If you are lucky you can even find someone who includes it in game.
Added descripton to the Inventory window for how to drink potions. Fixed in r8632.
