FS#80 - Content - Fell through the floor
I haven’t tried to repeat this but i was in autorun coming back along the narrow path from the magic store just after the T intersection after the section loads on the left side of the path and i just … fell through the floor and loaded back in my start town. I cant have died because i didn’t go to the dead place.
the reason i haven’t tried to do it again is because im one of the cat race and it takes me 15 minutes to walk back there

argh sorry i should have said i had turned left down the T intersection towards hyydia thats the path i was on - sorry dont know how to edit the original post
Can you please report the coordinates of the point where that happen, if you can find it again?
Modifying priority and status for the moment.
I don’t know, if I can confirm this, but yesterday, on the road from the city to Magic Shop I saw someone staying under the level of ground in such a way that one could see only his head.
I didn’t manage to talk to him as he disapeared after a short while.
Pjotr: that is something different. There are boundaries to keep people from walking off maps, but if you know how, you can get around that in some places. At the forest road you can walk below the road, with your head sticking out :)
edit: I did some testing and the head thing is more related than I thought :)
- On CVS I went to the sector crossing near pos -67.5, -174, -149.29 sector hybdr1, region hybdr
- walked across the border a bit. Nothing wrong
- when standing near the border on the forest side (not above pos), turning around in 3d person made the camera do the flying away thing (recently recreated bug report)
- when standing on the above pos, turning around shows that the two maps overlap. Sometimes you are standing on the lighter hydlaa road, sometimes on the darker forest road, depending on where your camera is.
All fun, but now this bug:
- if you walk backwards across the border (so camera first), you often fall down to the lower floor. You can unstick back from there
- doing that a bit more, unsticking and then walking forward again (i think), I suddenly fell straight through the solid looking ground, just as this bug report described.
So confirming! Also I think a map category is better than rendering, and it applies to all OS.

wow, i just tried that, thats how people get under the road then, but i was like a couple meters under, and then afer walking a bit, i fell all the way then i reappeared at hydlaa lying flat on the ground. Then i realized that, unlike you, i died. :(
I did some heavy testing about this one and can confirm this bug still as present.
Standing at about -65.82, -174.15, -145.96 in hybdr1 and turning (with third person camera) triggered the camera bug at several angles.
And running near the side walls at the loading point hybdr1 ⇐⇒ hydlaa_plaza also triggered the mentioned bug. It seems that the “gate” between is not recognized and the char still stays in one of those two sectors which results in falling down depending from which side he comes. In case of hydlaa_plaza he falls down to the floor under the forest and I can run around there and in the other case of hybdr1 I fall down, out of bounds and am reset to the center of the hybdr1 sector.
I also tested the transition between hybdr1 ⇐⇒ hybdr2, but couldn’t find any problems there.

OK, here an exact guide to reproduce the bug: I am standing at -198.08, 24.13, 259.46 in sector hydlaa_plaza with third person camera and looking into the direction of hybdr1. I now rotate the camera now, which triggers the camera bug under conditions I cannot interpret, but if I rotate it so that the camera passes the transition so that it is in hybdr1 (looking into the direction of hydlaa) the hybdr1 section disappears leaving the blackness of the floor under the forest of the hydlaa_plaza sector. I can move backwards now and fall down to the floor…

This is not a map bug, but a camera bug.
There has been many changes to how camera and portals react. Please retest it.
Camera flying of is still there, but the falling through is gone. Closing.
