Tested with Xordan's Mac RC1 (Published Nov 16th) and could not reproduce. Used ynwwnm.

Works too with Windows RC1 version.
Doesn't with a client built in release mode. Don't know why.
Should be enough to close, I guess.

RC1 builds are all built in release mode.

Just test in release mode (static build) and I could walk up the stairs fine. Had some difficulties because I was at 2 fps, but the places that blocked the char before now were gone. WIll close this.

Formally, you're correct Khaki. But we're just used to the building guide's way of calling things for Windows: 'debug' mode, 'release' mode (non static) and 'static' (release with static libs, which is how the RC1 version was built))… Whatever, that confirms that the problem only appears in debug and release modes, but doesn't in static mode. We should keep it in mind, just in case.

Andrew Dai commented on 18.11.2009 21:06

This isn't a formal issue, it's a technical one. 'Release' and 'static' builds from the same SVN revisions should be identical in behaviour. If it isn't then something went wrong during the packaging process and any bugs from that build should be ignored.

Please test with Windows RC1, if it works with that build then this bug is fixed.

Also, this isn't really related to my argument but it works in my 'debug' and 'release' builds.

aurelynt commented on 18.11.2009 21:49

Yup, I meant it only appears with windows debug and release, for whatever reason. Already closed since it's ok on RC1.
