FS#7756 - Some settings not saved after closing game
Some options in settings are not being saved after closing the game. They revert to default or adopt other settings.
- Interface → Visible shortcut rows
- Controls → quickbar → shortcuts (Conflicts with “Others” menu → “shortcuts” bar?)
- Chat logs directory → time stamps (May not be functional?)
Issues with shortcuts / quickbar / “shortcut bar” / “macro editor” are the most noticeable and make assigning shortcuts a time-consuming task that requires restarting the game multiple times over.
Correction: I rely on logs for many things, new friends, adventure notes and such.
What is max history? 10 to 500? 10 lines to 500 lines? Correction replaced "n" with "10'. so now 10-500. I could have sworn it used to say n-10. Correction: it shows n on relog.
log stopped recording over last day or 2. set anywhere from 10 to 500.
when working it does put in time stamps, although that setting always resets to unset.
update: after relog it goes to 'n', it is working again, I will be quiet now.
I think 'n' means unlimited number. Default is 'n'. (Never thought of limiting logs as an option before. I just save them somewhere else when they get too large and let the game create a new file. Now I'm afraid I'll accidentally move the slider.)
I am having to set my shortcut rows every time I start the game
The time stamp button does not save over restart.
I think logging doesn't happen without time stamp on, maybe related to having to relog during an event to get the log going.
