FS#1414 - Casting spells only possible using autowalk
When using the keys to walk, casting spells is not possible. Using autowalk, spell can be casted while moving. With the last client release, you could cast spells while using the keys to walk. Is this intended?

This happened because the character
movement was stopped every time any part
of the user interface windows were
clicked, in this case the spell casting
window. It is changed in svn trunk, so
only clicking on text entry widgets stop
the character movement.
Can not confirm, pressing the keys or using autowalk makes no difference here. The thing that does interrupt it, is running - spells are always interrupted while running, never while walking.
Works for me.
Works for me too.
Well, for me it is like this. In 0.3.19, using keys while casting spell worked. I also tried clicking on the shortcut with no success. Everytime the spell is casted, the char stops walking when using keys and not autowalk.
Maybe I have to change a new option I missed?
Hmm, I kinda forgot… the control code has changed a bit in trunk since release. What was happening is the character stopped when you click any gui window, it is now changed so only widgets that actually accept keyboard input stop the character.
I was testing this by clicking the spell in the spell book, and also with using shortcuts.
But, I found another bug,
FS#1426, which might have been part of your problem as well.
