FS#1706 - /quest <quest name> list quest results per 1 quest and not all
it might help out the gms to have /quest not only list all quests but be able to list the names then able to select what one exact quest they wish to list. This should also limit network traffic and future issues with very large packets being sent.

this should not be worked on till
bug 714is done or the same prospect could pick this one up once approvedany additional fix to /quest is on hold. Please review the additional section on character page of gm site. It lists quests a player has and substeps with status.
well no tester has access to the gm web console to view this so kerol can we have your opinion on this?
Having both quest lists (in-game and on the GM WC) is helpful for different things. In-game it comes in handy for the tutorial (when it’s not so much of a pain to scroll up) and the WC is great to see a whole lot of information with browser functions such as search, copy/paste, etc. Using a /quest filter like the one suggested would be useful too because that way we wouldn’t need to swap applications, not to mention that until the GM WC is fully fixed, every first character/account search will lag and possibly disconnect player clients from the server.
(from
FS#714)I think the /quest command will be deprecated in foreseeable future for complex quests. Current setup of GM WC and the future WC will make expensive ingame modifications not only not needed but also unwanted.
This is a good feature to check simple quests quickly, but for complex quests (which we will be getting a lot more) the web based solutions should be used. PHP/html has the advantage of visualizing content a lot easier since there are already datamining tools we could use. If we were to implement windows and visualizing complex quests ingame we’d be reinventing the wheel.
Kerol: what does that mean for the status of this report? Should it be closed as it will not be used anyway, or is it approved because you think it is still a good idea, or postponed because there is no need to do this soon?
