FS#1715 - Stocks take more skill than ingots

Conceptually speaking it take no more skill to pour liquid into a small container than into a larger container. The quality of the final product may be affected by inconsistent cooling but even so it is unlikely that pouring 5 or 10 containers of liquid metal into a mold would result in anything but a solid mass. It makes little sense to me to have a ten level difference between making gold ingots and gold stock. Especially given there may be no difference in the value of the product. There is no difference between the prices of 5 silver ingots and a silver stock. It does make sense to me to have different rates for producing quality work.

I feel this is a design flaw more than programmatic bug, as it seems intended to pad out the metallurgy skill levels. I have no conceptual problem with level differences in smelting different ores even if they do not mirror real life processes.

After checking this I decided it's better to let things as is, lowering the requirements for stocks will result in less practice given at higher levels. This will slow down the skill progression even more, and this is not intended. Closing.

Aside from the recent update, this still needs review because it’s more toward balancing and progression.
I didn’t forget this, just need to work in this area a bit more.
