FS#2349 - Installation Shortcuts
Since players rely heavily on log files, and since some files like saved books and screenshots are created by the client in various folders, could the installation package please create shortcuts to these folders in the start menu on windows, and whatever the equivelant is on other platforms? Would certainly make it easier for players to find them when they need them.
Also either set the psupdater shortcut to include the CheckIntegrity flag as default or create a second one with that flag.
Xordan what do you think of this request? should not be too hard to include a symlink for linux and mac not sure about windoze.
PS had a shortcut to the safety mode of the updater before, so this would be simply resolving a regression.
edit: That was a typo, but a link to the bugtracker would be nice as well! :)
Oh yes - shortcut to bugtracker would be great too.
Poking this since the installer for RC2 had no new shortcuts as described above. Please consider these for this release.
I cannot edit this task, but the bit about CheckIntegrity is addressed via the launcher.
