FS#2378 - setskill -1 does not return boosts
/setskill <target> strength -1 returns the base level but not any boosts.
On trunk I have Guest wielding a Buffed Sword of Strength. His str is 144(174). Looking at Guest’s strength I see 144(174) but if I use “/setskill Guest strength -1” I get
Current ‘Strength’ of ‘Guest’ is 144

Discussion from
FS#2324:That also would give lower GMs the possibility to check, without needing the /setskill command.
(from Caarrie)
No, because for a quick overview the desc window works fine. For checking many people or only for a single skill, the cmd is easier.
kerol but according to svn /inspect and /setskill [me] are both gm2 commands so you are saying you want a new version of /inspect for gm1 that can show others skills or am i missing something here? or do you mean that as set skill others is gm4+ you want this -1 for others to be for gm2+ ?
Since GM1 can see the info already it would make sense to have setskill -1 also available.
Right now, not even GM2 can use setskill -1 on others, which is nonsense.
It seems right now that setskill -1 is restricted to those that can “setskill others” so you want this changed to be its own command that has no restrictions on who it can be applied to as it just shows the skills. Sounds like a command like /viewskill <name> <skillname> would fix this very well and not cause more issues, in making the new command the -1 would get removed from /setskill

Ares is getting this one.
Fixed in trunk r4346.
