FS#2680 - pos and info have differnet pos output

Please make the pos output in the /info command the same format as in the /pos command, and add PID to /pos so we can get something to target against.

(22:18:25) >NPC: <Tefusang, PID:9015567, EID:10080> is at position (-41.99, 0.00, -217.29) angle: 303 in sector: NPCroom, instance: 0, and has been active for 0.0 hours.

(22:18:31) >Tefusang’s current position is NPCroom -41.99 0.00 -217.29 0 angle: 303, region: npcroom1, range: 27.63

New.

I think there should be more seperators like braces or brackets to make things better readable and parseable (grep syslog ftw!).
Thought twice: Having PID in /pos is not too dumb. With many NPCs of the same name it can be difficult to find the right one.

Why not just use /info as it already has the info you want?
Having two with the same output is kinda redundant.

Anonymous Submitter commented on 19.01.2009 21:46

Data in /info will get progressively moreā€¦a flood of stuff I don't need.

All I ask for in /pos is where something is and the PID for unique targetting. When asking pos I don't want all the rest of the flood.

For /info, I just asked that the format for the pos part be the same as it is for pos: map x y z i
with not extra commas or bits in that I have to edit out. Clipboard doesn't have any such feature to rearrange and clean up what you copy. Having to write scripts is a waste of time and energy when the format could be just right in the first place for teleport commands and spreadsheet pasting. having to copy paste twice to get separate bits in order is mot helfpul. Cramming more brackets and such seems to me to be just extra bytes and clutter to be edited out of spreadsheets or other documents to make the data useful.

then why not just make a /pid command to list the pid of the target?

Anonymous Submitter commented on 21.01.2009 15:43

Because we don't need a new command when all that's asked for is PID to be added to /pos

/pos area:npcs:25

(11:01:50) >Tefusang's current position is upper 68.19 -0.01 8.01 0 angle: 63, region: arena, range: 16.60
(11:01:50) >Tefusang's current position is upper 51.49 -0.01 -9.32 0 angle: 147, region: arena, range: 13.58
(11:01:50) >Tefusang's current position is upper 59.94 -0.01 -2.49 0 angle: 123, region: arena, range: 10.39
(11:01:50) >Tefusang's current position is upper 57.85 -0.01 18.23 0 angle: 40, region: arena, range: 15.15
(11:01:50) >Tefusang's current position is upper 43.83 -0.01 12.96 0 angle: 347, region: arena, range: 11.96

Without PID's in this result, which ones are in the arena pit and which one is missing?

is this output good?
