FS#3025 - diagrams and books in shield making
I’m not sure how this is supposed to work. But it is possible to make the needed parts of a spiked shield kit with the golden shield diagram in mind. I prefer to keep crafting easy, but this is only confusing…books…diagrams…no difference…hm…up to you

Not a bug - all shield crafting shares some common tasks, so as long as you have one of the books in mind you can perform the base skill tasks. The book in mind determines the final product.
