FS#4791 - Lower priority of crafting messages

Crafting messages and messages from the Server Admin, use the same “channels”, i.e. they appear in the system tab and in bold green or red in the middle of the screen.

While I understand that admin or GM messages need to be as “loud” as possible, I do not need the game shouting at me that the eggs are done with the same intensity. Especially when you craft multiple copies of the same item at once, those message almost fill the whole screen. I have to wait until they are gone before I can continue.

It would be nice if we had an option to ban the crafting messages just to the system tab.

I second that. While the crafting messages are important, it would be useful to separate them from the other system messages, perhaps with even its own log.

When I am chatting with someone while crafting, it is often difficult to separate the conversation from the messages. And as Minks states, the on-screen messages often make it difficult to see the items you need to click on.

you can disable it from appearing in the main tab as it's system not system (base)

Really the messages appearing as big colored text in the middle of the screen (not in chat window) can be selectively disabled while still visible in the system tab?

starg asked another thing.

Sorry, you're right, I added to the original suggestion.

However, I think the orignal point was that the on screen warnings overwhelm the screen and make it difficult to see. Am I correct, Minks?

Minks commented on 17.10.2010 18:07

Yup. Because there's not just one like in the case of a server restart, but lots and lots of them.
