FS#4937 - Movement for Ranged not showing when firing long distances

When the monster is somewhat near you, the movement simulating firing an arrow with the bow is showing. However if the monster is quite far away the movement stops showing until either one of you gets closer to the other.

The task blocks this from closing

Confirmed. Char keeps shooting arrows with no animation and doesn't seem to hit the target.

They are still doing damage but it's not shown in the system tab, only health bar shows the damage.

Observed since ranged combat is trainable. In contrast to the animation and dodge/miss/damage messages, gained practice is displayed regardless to distance.

This seems to be caused by PS#5386, the server won't deliver combat messages (which include the animation) in a long enough range.
