FS#5005 - Hammering Heated Plat Steel Longsword makes Platinum Steel Longsword, not Dull Plat steel Longsword

I just made my first platinum steel longsword, and I want to congratulate the team on coming up with new metals and new items we can make from them.

In the process of making the Longsword i discovered the following, Unlike its regular steel cousins, hammering a heated blade produces a blade not a dull blade. In addition, I found that I had to have my hammer in the left hand instead of the right hand.

The other thing that I noticed was that I had to switch back to my hammer instead of using my master crafted hammer. I don’t know if this use of the hammer for my current sword making skill level of 47 instead of the master crafted hammer was done on purpose or was a bug. I am prone to think that it was done on purpose, because of the metal that my character is having to work. And said metal would require more skill in working it.

Unless hammering to blade instead of dull blade on the Platinum Steel weapon was on purpose, this needs to be fixed.

The task blocks this from closing

Ouch, my character is right handed - he can’t use hammer in left hand. When he tries to use hammer in left hand, he always causes himself injury. This needs to be fixed too.

Heating a dull blade results into a ‘Super Heated Dull Blade’ immediately.
Hammering the heated platinum steel stocks with the MCH results into: “You interrupted your work when you moved away.” And you’ll get a fortune of 213 trias for a Q300 platinum steel blade. Don’t spent it all at once!!

Update – I haven’t tried all the permutations, but Hammering a Heated platinum steel longsword makes a Platinum steel longsword, when it should make a dull platinum steel longsword. Same thing happens if you start with the superheated platinum steel longsword. You get the platinum steel longsword instead of the dull platinum steel longsword. Also the hammer has to be in the left hand instead of the right hand. And you can also hammer a platinum steel longsword to platinum steel longsword.

My current skill levels are Sword Making 50 and Blacksmith 74. I did notice that in the latest update you raised the skill level needed to work the material to 50. This really needs to be fixed because it doesn’t match the same process as the other weapons.

Update. Verified that heating a dull platinum steel longsword blade goes to super heated without becoming heated.

is this still the case, can anyone confirm?

all still true

Several errors here:
shaping the dull psls blade into itself;
no rule to make a heated dull psls blade;
forging the dull into super-heated in one go;
last 3 rules listed missing indentation (as are a few other elsewhere in the book.)

…and rename “Shape rare swords” to “Shape”
