FS#5570 - Music scores play at 1/4 of the previous speed now

The measurement of note durations is completely wrong. “Beats Per Minute” are no more what they used to be.

Confirming due to a thread in the forum: Slo-Motion Music

Sixteenth notes seem to cause it.

It's more than just sixteenth notes. Most of my music does it now, and I know at least one piece has notes no shorter than a quarter note in it.

The slowdown is probably intended now. Instead of distorting the notes for low skills, they are slowed down "due to the lack of experience".

In general, a slightly more credible approach than the previously heavy distortion.

But practically, which beginner has the patience to practice at such a slow progression, especially with the little incentive that one needs ludicrous levels to play at least bearably?

A linear learning progression is too hard for an emotional, harmonical topic like music. Squared or cubed curves might have been more satisfying, and would allow already musicians with average practice to play in a way that people enjoy listening.

Furthermore, if everyone plays at a different speed, forget about "bands" like Talad asked for.
