FS#6391 - Unable to filter unused skills
With the new training process, all skills are now shown as being in training, even those at level 0. This makes it impossible to filter out untrained skills. This is annoying, especially on the Jobs and Various tabs where it’s possible to only have a few skills actually being trained and many unused.
Perhaps an option to sort skills in descending order of level would help. I tried playing with the xml file but wasn’t able to get anything to work.
Have seen a few people complain about this myself and was trying to think of a good solution.
I'd like to second the idea mentioned above to sort by level if nothing better is suggested.
This might be very complex, but what about adding an options window to pick what skills you want to show?
This way unimplemented ones could be 'hidden' by default, and you can just show the others you are interested in.
Please, just filter the skill zero entries. It might only be a nuisance when you start a new skill, but does the correct thing at all other times.
+1 Filter does nothing now. I really liked hiding all the zero skills.
One other thing I'd like to say in support of the sort feature is that I have several skills at very low levels that I was given when I created my character, dabbled in but decided not to pursue, or are obsolete. Absent a way to selectively filter skills as Venelan mentions, it would be nice to be able to push them to the bottom so they're out of the way.
I did the simple thing and changed the filter to ignore the knowledge component and filter the zero rank and zero practice entries.
This results in the same entries being filtered as were before the new "no training or tria" change for leveling.
