FS#6821 - Additional jewelry metals
Right now, the only jewelry metals available in the game are gold, silver, and platinum, which leaves Ynnwn out in the cold RPwise. Considering that IRL, copper alloys (brasses and bronzes both) were and are still used for jewelrymaking – it would be logical to add those at some point down the road, to provide at least *one* Ynnwn-compatible option…
Good point - maybe rename metals to materials? I remember some quest item (a ring?) was made of some gem or stone, and I can imagine other materials such as bone could be used as well. *shrug*
Yes there are also bones "jewels", we have been thinking about them and I think at some point we may implement them too.
At first I didn't see the problem, when you can RP-mod your normal jewelry into something made from wood or bone. And you could even have it engraved with the matching descriptions.
But then I was told that while there are no race-specific jewelry items available, the race specific RESTRICTIONS against wearing the normal ones were already in place and preventing Ynwnn from wearing any skill buffs obtained from normal jewelry. While I cannot confirm this for lack of an Ynnwn character, I'd consider this a MAJOR bug and hindrance/disadvantage to all players with Ynnwn characters.
So I'd strongly favour labelling this as a bug instead of a feature request and increasing the severity to high. Moreover I'm assuming that it isn't a big deal to comment out the respective restrictions until all race specifics are in game?
