FS#720 - ban guild name command needed in some cases
Ability to ban a guild name just like we can a players name so if we have to rename a guild we can make sure they dont get their name back /banguildname

Sounds good.
Maybe a prospect task?
I suggest we use the /banname command for guildnames, too, with the same list of banned names.
It would only require a check for banned names when a guild changes their name.
there are names like Laanx and Dakkru that are name banned but are allowed in guild names so you are limiting the names of guilds for religions this way.
No, since the list only applies to exact matches, IIRC.
Tested the fix provided in rev 6468.
It works fine when the guild name is only one word that is banned name, but if the guild name contains more than one word, one of which is a banned name, it doesn’t work. For example:
- /banname totor
- Make a guild named ‘totor’ ⇒ ‘The name Totor is banned’ which is good
- Make a guild named ‘los totor’ or ‘totor los’ ⇒ no message and the name is accepted by the server.
That is not consistent with what we already have for players names.
actually it was done per design like this else guild like brotherhood of talad would be banned.
