FS#8102 - Unable to progress with the Azure Way quests.
A few days ago, I went to Levrus since I wanted to join the Circles, and I did the quest, “Without a Way“. I chose to join the Azure Way and Levrus gave me the Amulet for Azure and Dark Ways. I took it to Jayose in Jayose’s Codices and Librams. Jayose accepted the amulet and gave me a Apprentice Azure Way staff(?) and a glyph for Sleep. Then he told me to go back to Levrus for training or further information, I guess. So I went back to Levrus, and he did not have anything for me other than the other quests for the Rat’s eyes, and the ring. I then left, and then last night when I had finished the quest for the Ring of Familiar, he had the original quest “Without a Way” as an option. Thinking that it would be the follow up to what Jayose told me I started it and it was the same all over again. I had to choose which Way/Circle to learn magic, and once again chose Azure Way and picked up the amulet, took it to the library, and Jayose did not have anything so I am stuck with an amulet and without a Way.
I’m thinking it may be that I once found a apprentice Red Way staff and I had it in my inventory before I started the quest “Without a Way,” could that have contributed to the quest being stuck or is it an actual bug in the quest as someone told me.
By the way, the sign outside of Jayose's Library has a typo, as Codices is the plural of Codex not 'Codexes'
No, (as far as any player can tell) to your final question. You are supposed to be able to practise all the ways in parallel up to Adept level. Only mastery is meant to be exclusive.
As for the rest of the problem, it's been a long while, but I recall having to go to different instructors after Jayose. Have you tried Sharven at the temple? I will look into my old logs and see if I can dig up anything insightful.
