FS#918 - Repair - Switching weapons
when you repair a dagger for example you have to
- equip it in right hand
- do /repair and wait for it to end.
if you try to select the “weapon” which is being repaired you cannot move it.
you get the message : “You cannot move an item being used”
BUT if you take another weapon, select it and put it on the weapon being repaired, they will switch themselves (i mean the weapon in the hand will go to the INV and the one in the INV in the hand) and the repair action will still be active. (the weapon you started to repair will be repaired, not the one after switching).
hope to be clear :p

Verified. Also I tried attacking a npc right after starting repair and switching weapons, the weapon could not be moved in/from the inventory (other than swapping slots), and the repair never finished. I did this once again, and ended up with two weapons that could not be moved even though the repairs were cancelled.
On the other hand, if the weapon is not swapped out of the hand slot, starting an attack cancels the repair, and changes the weapon to it is free to be moved or dropped.
Increasing severity a bit.
if you start repairing, then immediately attack an enemy (using /attack), repair will continue and it will be the same as attacking in defensive mode. If you however, click on the aggressive stance icon, it will stop you from repairing. Have duplicated this many times accidentally attacking when I don't realize that my repair hasn't completed.
I tried that with svn trunk: first I verified repairing a sword worked.
I did '/attack' right after starting repair, there was a message "Vengance IsMine changes to a normal stance", I waited much longer than the 20 seconds it's supposed to take, no error message, weapon is still at the same quality and repair kit is still thereā¦
I then pressed the aggressive stance button right after starting repair, message "Vengance IsMine changes to a aggressive stance", no error message, no repair happens.
So, either the svn combat or repair rules are not valid for testing laanx bugs, or the problem you have has been fixed in svn.
I think most of these rules are hardcoded, by checking pscharacter modes.
Assigning Bovek to this.
Not a crafting issue
possible patch to not allow item swapping if destination is already in use
Still in pslegacy and PSUnreal
