This could be made with a dialog box that appears when someone wants to /mount the pet (”Foo wants do ride your pet NameofThePet, allow?”), similar to challenges/trades. If this is implemented there should of cause be auto-accept/deny.

Hi,
when i tell Krestal ‘amdeneir’, there are status messages about mounting the pterosaur and everything, but i dont get teleported to Amdeneir. Instead, all npcs on the hydlaa_plaza map disappear and i can walk around freely on that map. /pos says i was in amdeneir. After a relog, the game hangs at “Requesting connection” on the loading screen after character selection. A GM had to move me back to Hydlaa so i could play that char again. I tried this on Zeroping, Ezpcusa and localhost (on localhost via /teleport). A pterosaur ride to Oja was successful. Using the /die command while walking through the empty hydlaa mpa works and gets me to the death realm.
The problem was already (mentioned by someone else on the forums).
My System:
ubuntu linux 10.10 maverick meerkat
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (rv515, running with Ubuntu’s default open source driver)
64bit OS and Planeshift Client
the problem occurs with the official client as well as with one built from svn.

Hi,
at the moment you can turn faster when you are running or when you are riding a mount. In reality, you usually have a larger radius when your speed is higher. The fact that higher movement speed also results in faster turns makes i.e. a Drifter at full speed somewhat unsteerable. Please change the turning speeds so they are more realistic.

to make the interface less confusing, please let the chat window have the “Guild” and “Group” tabs only when the character is in a guild or group. Or at least make hiding these tabs an optional feature.

This would also make it possible to add an alliance chat tab to the chat window without bloating it for the people who are not in an alliance. see my FR #2688 for this.

Hi,
when two or more guilds create an alliance, it would be nice if there was an easy way for the members of all guilds to communicate. An “Ally” tab next to the “Guild” tab would be a perfect solution for this.
Guild leaders should be able to chose which ranks of their guilds are allowed to view the ally chat and write in that tab.
As many guilds are not in an alliance, it would be nice if the tab just appeared when neccessary.

Hi,
please make it possible to let a group guard items. as soon as a player joins a group, all items guarded by him should be guarded by the group. As soon as the group is disbanded or the player leaves the group, he shall be guarding the items he dropped alone.
This is useful i.e. for market stands where one player builds up the stand, which is too big to be guarded just by himself, but the other sellers enlarge the guard area. it is also useful if a seller in a market crashes: his group still guards the items he dropped.

Hi,

please make /report also log the actions of a player he did 5 minutes ago. Often it’s very useful to report what a player HAS done, instead of hoping he’ll do something evil again within the next 5 minutes.
i.e., today it was very difficult to proove that Player xxxxx stole two carpets from a market stand while it was build up and the guy who guarded them was too far away for a short while. We couldn’t proove it, and had to start a conversation about the stuff with him, which we then reported. it would have been far easier if the GM had clearly seen that two carpets had been dropped by yyyyy and then picked up by xxxxx, + xxxxx’s comment “lol, i stole 2 carpets”.

This feature might require some work to be implemented but i’m sure it’s worth the work, as it allows GMs make better decisions.

Hi,
when in the dlayo pit, the camp and in guild wars, you might have noticed some people casting the same spell a hundred times on the same person and killing hin/her/kra within a few seconds. Everyone attacked this way has no chance to strike back, because there isn’t enough time to target the attacker before dying.
So, it would be nice to have some commands to target a person attacking you, i.e.

/target attacker               -- targets a person attacking you
/target strongest attacker     -- when being attacked by multiple persons, target the one who has done
                                  most damage so far
/target weakest attacker       -- when being attacked by multiple persons, target the one with the least
                                  HP (easiest to kill, so you can do at least some revenge)
/target nearest attacker       -- when being attacked by multiple persons, target the nearest one
/target next attacker          -- switch between attackers

having such a command as a shortcut would give you a chance to strike back in time. That makes some characters able to act in a more realistic way.

This is related to FS#2357 but this method wouldnt cause the problems that were made in the comments of that ticket.

My character is a male Klyros, he wears a horned helmet and has two daggers in his hands.

The sizes of various items and the capacities of containers are unrealistic.
Examples:

Longsword: 5 - Broad Sword: 25

Wooden Crate: 20 - Two Doors Closet: 50

That means that a two doors closet can contain 10 Longswords, but only 2 Broad Swords. The massive Two doors closet can only contain 2,5 Wooden Crates. A Longsword fits in a wooden crate. A sack (remember their size when they are dropped on the ground) is 1,5 times as big as a wooden crate.

There are other examples. The problem is, that it’s difficult to store things in a guildhouse. For example, i regulary sell looted weapons on the plaza and it’s difficult to store all that stuff. but when too many items are dropped in a guildhouse, the game runs veeeeeeerrrrrryyyyy slow. but if there’s no way to a bigger store items in a container, the only way is to buy more containers. but that’s expensive and not a solution for the real problem.

It would be great if one could influence the power of a spell in the cast command. For example, i could make a shortcut

/cast Defensive Wind 90

to cast that spell with 90% power, as i’m very good in the azure way. But since i’m lousy in the crystal way, i would only do

/cast Life Infusion 10

to cast that spell less powerful. I would not have to click at the spell power bar all the time when fighting and healing.

When entering a new map, i first see everything correctly, but after a less than a second, everything (houses, trees, statues, players, npcs, my char) begins to vanish. ~2 secs after entering the map i can see the ground and a few houses. i can still walk around and i can see my char’s shadow on the floor. I can also see chars and npcs which are directly in front of my camera. when looking out of the map into the next map, i can only see gfx-corruption coloured like the edge of the map i’m walking on. after relogging everything is ok again. but in the winch area and the death realm even that doesnt work and i have to navigate without seeing my environment.

I experience the bug on linux with ps version 0.4.02 (all updates from the updater) ati-fglrx 8.08.

When walking over the stone bridge to the volcano, my char gets stuck on the bridge. the image begins to flicker and i see no more movements. The system messages “Received out of bounds positional data. Resetting your position…” and “You fell down and died” appear. A few seconds later, my lies near the ulbernauts at the river and is dead. Another few seconds later, he is in the death realm.

I experience the bug on Linux with the ati-fglrx driver version 8.08. My client is version 0.4.02 with all updates that the updater installed.
