The “fix” therefore, is to trap only those keys that chatbox can deal with, and forward anything else to the shortcut processor, so while typing in chat W A S D would be trapped in chat, and F3 would fire the shortcut it’s mapped to.

No compensation should be given for the lost ranks, practice, etc. and that should be stated in the confirmation dialog, along with a clear advisory that the action is permanent and irreversible.

Unless we’ve sweet talked a GM into doing it for us, we often have extra skills with a rank of 1 or 2 that we may have inadvertently trained or practiced and they clutter up the list view of skills, as they’re not suppressed by the Filter feature.

Alternatively, the item could drop normally and start heating up.

I have two reasons for requesting this:

  1. It runs counter to immersion. Stuff sitting in a hot place heats up in real life, it should do so in Ylliakum as well.
  2. It is a griefing opportunity. Start hammering something, fill up the forge with stuff, and watch crafters despair. Since the stuff does not heat up, you can even continue crafting - you can take stuff from a slot normally and immediately replace it, the 300 ms lag will make sure that you can fill the slot before the other crafters even see that you freed the slot.

Feel free to change to Feature Request, I cannot know whether the current behaviour conforms to developer expectations or not.

With that book in Mind, I was able to make the Apple Jam Biscuits, but I never did actually FIND the recipe. I checked with another cook just to make sure, and she couldn’t find it either. She also pointed out that the Bread with Apple Jam is also missing (the other Bread with Duppong/Teveran/Macca/Joopiner Jam and Duppong/Teveran/Macca/Joopiner Jam Biscuits, as well as the Bread with Butter and Buttered Biscuits are also missing.)

In the Making Enchanted Armor book I discovered that the skills you cannot do are not grayed out (AFTER I tried something, was told I didn’t have the skill, and looked more closely at my book! It does say the usual “WIth higher skill you could blah, blah, blah” but it’s the same color as the rest of the text).

But both "Emotes" and "Fighting Messages" are part of "System Base", thus you can either have both, or none of them in Main. And being spammed with "Fighting Messages" during RP is quite annoying. Indeed, you could filter them out - but that's not the same since you won't get those messages at all then.

I would like it if you could set the default reaction to casting a spell or being attacked. I find it quite annoying to automatically be set to fully defensive when I cast a spell. I also find it annoying that when being attacked by a group of mobs your target focus jumps to whichever one hit you last.

When I cast electrotouch I want to hit my opponent and not change my stance. generally whenever I cast anything in melee I want to keep my previous stance.
When I am in a pile I want to kill what I am fighting before I start on another one. If I want to fight a different one I can so choose manually. It is also annoying that you often jump to a different mob before you are able to loot what you have just killed.

It would be great if there was a section to set these in the options.

In the case of electrotouch I tried to add /attack normal to my shortcut but it was processed and discarded before the spell finished casting. I appreciate you probably don’t want long chains of commands to be processed in turn as it could lead to botting, otherwise I would ask for one command to finish processing before the next is considered. Still it would be nice to repair all my armor with one keypress instead of 5.

Current /pray command is a shortcut for /emote pray, but it could be interesting to have separate command to pray gods (or specific god) for miracles or even ask them about something.

“Miracles” should be protective / healing spells, casted on character or group, or offensive spells, casted on enemies.
Spell set could vary by god. Rate of success of appeal & spell power could be determined by character race, faction points, number of previous appeals (in the game day), sacrifices and also (maybe) current location, weather and time of the day.

If god name not specified, any god in the mood could answer to the prayer.
Also, appeling to the more ancient gods (Laanx, Talad) should have lesser rate of success, but greater miracles or revelations.

Any character (even have no magical abilities and choose to be atheist) could use this command.

Gods could be implemented as (invisible) NPCs.

Example command formats:

Pray: /pray [godname]
Ask: /tell [godname] [question]
Sacrifice: /give [godname] [itemname]

But /use command for common book just results in a book, equiped in righthand slot (in case it’s empty).
Book isn’t opened for reading nor writing, so where is no result of using it. So no /use…

After equipping a common book in a hand slot, /use [slot-name] command just kills the psclient… This one really unexpected :(

/write [item-name] command syntax not working on a writable book, resulting message is: “You cannot write on this item” -
but this syntax described in a Help window! And /write [slot-name] syntax works as expected.

I think it’s clear that /read command for a books must exist to make complete set. Some use cases:

* want to read any book - use /read [item-name] or /read [slot-name]
* want to write to a writable book - use /write [item-name] or /write [slot-name]
* want to equip / dequip any book - use /equip and /dequip commands

Sane default results for /use command:

* Crafting book - equip in a mind slot.

It's a reference book, to take a look from time to time in a crafting process, after all.

* Common book and writable book - open book reading window. Using a book in a real world means “read it”.

Other "uses" (as a blunt weapon, fuel, press-papier, etc.) are less common.

I’m a new user and I just had a very frustrating experience, so I want to propose an improvement.

I requested a guild mate to craft me some chain armor, and when I got it done I picked the Arm piece i was wearing and tried to exchange by the new one. By the gods, the quality-50 armor merged with the quality-300 one and I got two quality-175 armors. Without any confirmation.

I think the merge-on-stack system is fine for many crafting situations, but merging armor stats is a unexpected one. I fail to see why one would want to merge a higher armor with a much lower one. This doesn’t even make sense: if you mix water and herbs it’s ok that you get an infusion, but you can’t mix a chain mail with another one to instantly get two different ones.

I requested a GM to revert the stats and he said that this is the same situation as when one sells or gives away an item by mistake. I think it is not the same thing. This is not a mistake; it is common to exchange items in the inventory to organize or save space, and having these “side-effects” in place can make a simple inventory management a surprisingly bad experience for new users like me. :(

TL;DR:

1. Please review if it really makes sense to merge armors or weapons. I don’t see the use for it, and it sounds illogical, but probably I’m missing something.

2. Please consider adding a confirmation to actions with clearly bad side effects during inventory management, to avoid the frustration, specially for new users.

3. Please consider adding a toggle/checkbox to the inventory to turn on/off automatic item merging (disabled by default to avoid sad surprises like mine).

Therefore it would be nice to be able to create and assign custom tabs to channels, which would then function just like any of the built-in tabs. It would be even nicer if that arrangement could be stored, which would go very well with the auto-joining of custom channels proposed elsewhere.

If base 7 is used, the whole beads line is moved back (left) in same operation with moving its last 7-th bead to the right. Same alhorithm is used in real Russian abacus, which have 10 beads in a line for 10-th base calculations.

Maybe, 2) is not a bug, but it requires some more “out of game” explorations, than player may expect, or just “brute force” enumeration of possible aanswers. So, Crosh’s explanations about his calculations must be more clear:

Zooming in on the character does not center on character.

Instead is zooms to a point right of the character so the character is zoomed out of view to the left hand side.

I think that has to do that the character, in this case a female Nolthrir, is not centered in view. From the left border of the PSUnreal window, maximized to Full HD resolution in windowed mode, it is about 855 pixel to Damola’s right hand when she looks into the camera. From the right hand border to the left hand, again with Damola looking into the camera, it is about 990 pixel, according to a screen ruler program.

What I think is happening here is that PSUnreal actually zooms in on the center of the view, but Damola is not there, but somewhat to the left from the center.

I also tried it in windowed mode with a resolution of just 1280×800 pixels. Still the same, Damola is not in the center. Same goes with full screen on Full HD resolution. Or windows mode with 1600×900 pixels. It does not seem to depend on the resolution.

“You Are To Far Away To Attack” > (standing right next to them, If I time it right I can jump and hit it’s head, but only can hit when jumping)

   I have noticed this On Ojaveda Road 1 Maulbernauts/Vilenaut/Maulberloards (When they spawn in the "vally area of there spawn points") I also notice when I kill them They get suspended Laying down in the air

While crafting enchanted ‘Ynnwn Longbow’, after the final bow is made, it shows two different quality in two different places. That is in system message, if it shows quality ‘X’, it shows quality ‘Y’ in smith table inventory box, where Y=X-1. And this is from Master Bow maker, maxed up in Bow making skill. Sorry, but other bows i haven’t checked this out. Does not happen always but happens most of the time. And Does not happen with Q300 bows
