Right now, there is a mix of both of these things implemented. This would make it consistent and convenient. Right now it's quite awkward to have to drop an item, and then focus on it before casting a spell on it.

Different varieties of mineral crystals produced at the mine sites. Some descriptors that would indicate quality on the crystals, like: Smoky, cloudy, occulted, clear, milky, flecked, fractured, et cetera. Smoky sapphire, occulted Ruby, et cetera. These could indicate grades of quality. Perhaps there should be a chance to pull extremely unique crystals of magical quality with two or more modifiers. I would not be surprised if this was already thought of, but I wanted to put it up here while it was in my mind.

Once you’ve maxed your stats, currently there’s no more use for progression points/XP. It’s just an endless counter going up and up and up.

How about:

  • adding PP prices to the money you have to pay in special attack quests? (”Sorry, but you don’t have enough experience to learn this, come back later and I’ll show you how it’s done.”)
  • having to pay in PP more than in Tria for the temporary knowledge bonuses?
  • consuming progression points if you craft something with a special modifier (and in turn only allowing you to do so if you have some to spare)?
  • add more temporary buffs (for example for stats or more directly as bonus HP/MP, increased HP/MP regeneration) that are paid for only in PP or with much lower tria costs.

I am aware that it probably requires quite some additions to the quest scripting and other places and is by no means a trivial change, but I thought it may add to the medium- to long-term development deliberations. To me progression points feel like a loose end, now that they lost their purpose in skill training.

The NPC interaction window can only be controlled via mouse clicks, which is extremely cumbersome – particularly giving the full screen scale – bordering the unintuitive for some parts,.

Going back and forth between the menu entries and the dialogue window to click the progression arrow is cumbersone as well as leaving the view (and here we are extremely unintuitive) with a mouse click in the corner, instead of supporting the Escape key.

My proposals (ranked by importance, most important first):

1) allow for exiting the view by assigning the ESC key to the leave button
2) allow for dialogue progression by hitting the space bar (having your character jump in this view is really an expendable “feature”) or at least have the arrow key right assigned to that right pointing arrow appearing under the lefthand dialogue section.
3) selecting conversation options on the right-hand side via numbers 1-9 (range should suffice for 99% of the present cases).

I think 20-30% larger scale would be sufficient to remedy the major trouble spots.

It has happened to me a dozen times over since joining UR after it has replaced legacy, I relogged inside a guildhouse/law map and I am eternally falling for having spawned slightly beneath floor level.

In several instances I had to wait hours for a /tp back to the map, and so it is happening again today.

Please make a quick fix of this enabling players to teleport themselves back to the map in such a case. It’s a real downer to have to wait for a long time in such a case, particularly given the fact that you probably have to stay online for a GM to /tp and fix this. Huge waste of energy with the constant 3D animation.

This could also be of help if players are trapped in map geometry, inescapable pits, rifts and so on.

I prefer to have all chats in one big chat log. However global chat is not marked as global inside the log file. Like this:

Would be nice to have “[global]” or some other marker like this in there.

Same goes for NPC chatter and so on. Currently all messages are marked with “[chat]” which is not all that helpful for searching around in the file.

Zooming in on the character does not center on character.

Instead is zooms to a point right of the character so the character is zoomed out of view to the left hand side.

I think that has to do that the character, in this case a female Nolthrir, is not centered in view. From the left border of the PSUnreal window, maximized to Full HD resolution in windowed mode, it is about 855 pixel to Damola’s right hand when she looks into the camera. From the right hand border to the left hand, again with Damola looking into the camera, it is about 990 pixel, according to a screen ruler program.

What I think is happening here is that PSUnreal actually zooms in on the center of the view, but Damola is not there, but somewhat to the left from the center.

I also tried it in windowed mode with a resolution of just 1280×800 pixels. Still the same, Damola is not in the center. Same goes with full screen on Full HD resolution. Or windows mode with 1600×900 pixels. It does not seem to depend on the resolution.

For those that have skill requirements and/or time locks, instead of hiding the quest completely, perhaps it would be better to expose such quests when the character is otherwise qualified (e.g completed other quests in the chain) and do the skill / time check in the intro steps and have the NPC inform the character that they need to practice more before they can continue, or say something along the lines of "too busy right now, come back tomorrow". This way the player will know the quest is there, and get a hint of what they need to do. Going around and touching all the NPC's and finding nothing just feels like a bug when one knows there should be quests out there someplace.

I've done them…several times, and frankly I'm tired of seeing them offered. Could we have a setting for "Hide Completed Repeatable Quests" that we could enable to stop them form showing up? At least in one case, an NPC has enough repeaters that they show first and new quests are pushed to the 2nd page in NPC Dialog view. If one overlooks the page arrow, one might miss the other offerings.
