every time you get 100% it means 1 progression point (PP) it costs trias($) and PP to train in skills... for every pp, it is about 43 trias to spend on theoretical training... once you train the bar all the way until the bar for that skill is all green (no more yello/blue... red is normal tho) then you can do practical training, which extends the green bar over the red area... when it fills you will rank up.
please consult the manual.

I'd say Vampires are about as common in ps as in rl... there are always myths...some based in truth... i guess if there were some stipulation that real myths can't exist in ps then their name would be a myth-take... ;D

I know people post about a zillion times more than we'd like asking for transport systems and the like.. I hope I'm not doing too typical a suggestion when i say i would simply like a different twist on walking that wouldn't take much tweaking from the norm, to make it transport...

I am likely ranting and raving, but just as i was dozing off, i had thoughts of planeshift & was imagining what further maps might be like... i envisioned air-based or water-based areas with people running with these

under their feet--

I imagine--assuming levels with open air or deep water between buildings could be on the table-- you could use these or whatever animals had been intended... but these would make for simple animation & nice variety...
i suppose this is lacking a why...
how about so people whose characters may not be so good with animals can travel the same (all based on assumption/hearsay/rumor)
-- or simply give some variety to whever transport gets cooked up along the way... I know original thoughts are encouraged, and i figure it looks pretty original.. to me anyway, pedals & levers, simple...

obviously neds a mechanism under it, propellor or such (type you'd see in a pedal boat i guess) if water... maybe just some wheels, make it a land thing.. or both to be amphibious... i guess the handles should turn more at the top to be held at rest...dunno if a baloon or inflated device would go nice on top or bottom...

Fan Art / what sort of weapon?

I was wondering what category a weapon like this would fall under... I know it would be a blade... but i dunno about being sword or dagger... maybe polearm?




Tried to give it a look of something crafted based on an ulber's deadly claw



EDIT:

By the way, i figured while i was at it i'd toss up some quick melee weapon type gauntlet things... wood/metal, stone/metal & precious crystal...

a simple way to rebalance the war is for --say there are 3 dark guilds-- 1 goes & persuades about 2/5 of the goodie guilds that the other goodie guilds are corrupt-- another does the same, respectively...--and the last persuades the reamaining 1/5 & the neutrals that the others are corrupt... what's a clear sign that each group is corrupt? they are allying themselves with dark guilds & treating you suspiciously..
It's not a black n white good vs evil, but a more sneaky, rp -guided way to do things, divide n conquer. A way that I think would allow more balance than straight good vs evil. Especially since most evil doesn't think of itsself as evil, more revolutionary..

In the time period the game takes place there wasn't waste management--but there also weren't effective spells like we have... I think one imprtant point is that in a fantasy game with magic you could base it in the stone age & still have utopian cities... No reason trash bins couldn't be enchanted or magical..

it would be nice to have either dumps or trash cans with gmlike carrying capacity, that empty every 24 in game hours, till then people can dumpster-dive... I bet our beggars would appreciate the oppertunity..

(or allowing krans to eat all items with an /eat command)

On the topic of beggars & utopian societies etc-- i was wondering if/when housing were implented--would there be any sort of homeless shelter or such?--not so much for actual storage, but for rp purposes... i know in time period they would be left to rot in the street, but knowing how much the communities of ps seem to spend time effort & trias on helping those in need it would be likely they build that as soon as their own house is built... just a thought that followed the thinking

and I think i'd said before said before-- whether it was a bug or not--there have been cases of dying then being able to get up & move around again before dr loads, thanks to a well timed spell casting..

Wish list / Re: Possible Improvement for "repair kits"/skill

is it in the plans--or a reasonable request--to eventually make a mold for casting repair kits?-- like have say molten iron or molten  steel make 2-6 kits each when left to cool in the molds?

I was thinking it made sense with a higer weapon repair skill coupled with a certain minimum metalurgy...

As it stands it isn't profitable to craft shortswords or daggers as they aren't worth more than the iron you'd mined... I figure the above would make for some worthwhile work..

as an alternative to Meketh's idea... Which i like a lot by the way.

I suppose this is more an in game tech issue... but i am also guessing this has been asked about before---

is magic going to work on duel opponents again any time soon?

Was looking at the God RP thread in general & reminded me; skill based role playing...
hmmm Character One is a weak fighter/miner but powerful mage. And is challenged by Character B-  an upse,t weak mage/figher who is a strong miner... who wins?
--assuming equal cobat skills, likely the miner; as his strength will be full to carry more ore & endurance high to run while carrying it, rather than training up all those mental stats  a mage would need...

I know magic is more a support thing... and i hate jerks who use missile & stay way far... but at least thats what their char would likely do with that resource available...
And in all fairness it should be available to them... Tho spells like freeze may prove disappointing for now, no matter the skill level...

1. gee wow thats the first time ever that idea was posted. nobody thought of that before. and certainly no one said anything about whether that would potentially have a place in far off future...

2. this game is all ages. blood won't happen, far as i've read...

3. While more realistic i doubt anyone would go for that until housing type storage were implemented.
