Thought I would share my horrifying experience here since this is a roleplaying community and what the hell ... its good for a laugh. 

So, I'm in a random game checking it out on my phone and a player approaches me and asks "Do you like to Roleplay?" through the mailing system in game. I reply "I used too. Played a game called PlaneShift and was very invested into the community for quite some time. I've slowed down with the RPing these past few years. I enjoy it!"

Well, my phones auto correct changed RPing into Raping. *sigh HORRIFIED!!!!!

I know there is an option to have your email address hidden. I have used the check off  box to "hide your email for viewers" but it still show's my email address to the public. I want to get rid of it because it isn't valid anymore. Can this be fixed? Is it a bug? Am I the only one with this issue?

I am writing this in hopes of getting some ideas from the roleplayers in this community. I haven't been playing my character Zorbels in game for quite some time now. I miss roleplaying with her but I have become stumped as to where to go with her story. Her history is a long one but I will try and word it a simple as possible and only give information towards the end of my playing in PlaneShift before taking a break.

Zorbels had just wed Satayne. It was quite an event. After the wedding Satayne disappeared. He left a note for Zorbels claiming that he was going to put an end to Alhana once and for all. (Alhana is Zorbels enemy) Alhana was becoming a huge disruption in Zorbels life. She seemed to change after she meet Alhana and Satayne thought that if he could do away with her Zorbels would return to normal again. Way back when Zorbels and Alhana had an encounter. Alhana tried to over take Zorbels and control her as one of her own. Alhana wasn't expecting for Zorbels to put up such a fight or be as strong willed as she was and in the end the two were left with a piece of each other. (I cannot explain that situation in more detail as to how that happened because there are those who still play that were apart of the huge roleplay and it would contain spoliers for them unfortantly.) Alhana could feel emotions. (She lived off of peoples souls and emotions such as hatred,sadness and other such emotions before meeting Zorbels and had no idea what emotions felt like. For lack of a better word she was empty inside.) Zorbels could now see through Alhanas eyes and know the feel of pure hatred. She also left Zorbels with a power that Zorbels still has no idea exactly what it does. Alhana whispered to Zorbels at one point that she had a higher purpose. Zorbels assumes she was meant to lead the way of distruction for Alhanas master. (Whom I never found out due to people becoming inactive in game)

Anyhow so I am at this point, Satayne is missing, Alhana is doomed to be imprisioned in the death relam until someone finds a way to release her (No one knows where she is in the DR), and Zorbels has been running all over the world looking for Satayne. (This explains my absents from PlaneShift for eight months) Zorbels is begining to suspect that these sightings of Satayne are just Alhana sending out that information to keep Zorbels busy and out of her way. Zorbels also is begining to suspect that Satayne did find Alhana but that she has killed him.

I am stumped. Usually I have good ideas or I just wing it and roleplay away. After being away so long it is hard to start up where you left off, especially when most of those you roleplayed with are gone. Now Zorbels the character to me is depressed about losing her husband and many other friends along the way. Her guild is off on quests. (None at this point are active) She has no reasons to even continue on. I can't seem to get out of that sad state and I hate it. I hate that everytime I have logged on with Zorbels I am always sad about Satayne and roleplaying me finding his where abouts. It is boring me to tears. My character was always fun loving, active, happy and a trouble maker in not a harmful way. I fear I am losing interest in my character but I don't want too. Any ideas? Any feed back I would appreciate. I am not looking to have a whole new story written so I can go roleplay it out in game. I just want some suggestions on how I can move forward. Otherwise I think I am facing the decision of having the character beome inactive permanently.

If I send someone a pm and try and send one directly after that I have to wait 60 seconds to send another one. (Which is fine if it was only a 60 sec wait) I have been waiting three minutes now to send this second message. I have to log out of the forums and log back in when this happens otherwise I can't send my message. Sometimes I haven't even sent a PM when I receive this 60 second message. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue?

 

I am sorry that I lost my temper in the "Comments on "Faces Behind the Players"  thread. When someone half your age who has no children tries to tell you how to parent especially when they know nothing about you or your family, it can be a little nerve racking.

I would request that my posts be deleted and the thread re-opened. It isn't fair to the rest of the community to suffer the consequences that should have only been dealt out to both Raa and myself. Again I apologize to you all and I won't be displaying this sort of behavior again. Normally I think my actions through but as of tonight we can all see where my patients ends.  I know full well I could have taken it to the PM's and will do so next time.

Again I apologize to the community and hope that you can forgive my actions this day. Thanks for your time.

Note:  Oh one more thing, I think Izzabella wanted to remove her pictures. I don't want to be the reason she can't so if the mods will not release the lock then could the mods please allow her to remove her pictures if she still wants to?

Is this just a useless function? I can't seem to do anything with it. The calendar also seems to be off by six days, seven depending on what part of the world you live in.

It would be interesting if I could use it for PlaneShift events. Useful even.

I am rather upset that the mods have been deleting threads from the In-Game Roleplay Events section of the forums. (  Not upset at the mods themselves, just the deleting of the threads.) This is to me not a good idea by any means. I can handle losing my stat's, inventory, trias, etc in game but what I cannot handle is losing the hard work I put into logging events on the forums. Such as roleplay stories started in or out of the game on the forums.  Some of my own posts that I poured hours of my time into are gone. I only realized this when I went to use some of these stories as an example in another thread. I used this section to help new comers to planeshift understand the concept of roleplaying. It helped give them an idea of what they were in for, and also gave them an idea of who to look for in game who was into roleplay. They were a great tool for me. It also helps me keep track of my character and what she has been involved in. I have most of my history in that section. Others (new and old to PS) could visually see stories that they weren't involved in actually connected to the roleplays that they were involved in. In a nut shell I found this section to be very helpful to me.

I believe there are a whole lot of threads that should have been deleted in other sections before even considering touching In-Game Roleplay Events. I am asking if this deleting in this section can stop. Otherwise I don't think I will put the effort into using that section anymore. What are your thoughts? Are these being deleted for lack of space?  I am sorry if this may seem minor to most of you who have no use for that section, but for me it is a very big part of my daily use in planeshift. Thanks for your time.

P.S Please do NOT use this thread to bash the mods, that is not what I intended.

First of all this art has nothing to do with planeshift unfortantly. Though if I had the time I would be drawing up a storm of fan art for PS.

This picture I drew, I have posted because I just can't contain my excitment and must tell the world  ... I AM GOING TO SEE MARIAH CAREY!!!! She has never come to Canada and I have been a fan of her music since I was ten. Basically the start of her career. I drew this picture from the cover of the Rolling Stone, and I drew it about ...(omg I feel old ) ten years ago. I added the tattoo on her arm and changed some features abit on her face including eye color. I hope you like, and if it is allowed I can post more of my art, but as I said before it isn't planeshift related.

Is that ok mods? Community? Anyway .... enjoy.  Now I am going to run down my back alley and tell my whole neighborhood at the top of my lungs. Heh .... like they haven't had enough with that song that karyuu posted that I LOVE so much and played over and over ......... The Bestest Song EVAR!
