I suppose that really in the past all I was interested in were my duties at the time: forum administrator, settings/background guy, PR, etc. I think I set up certain drives and motivations out of the jobs to keep me going, knowing that eventually a game would be made out of my work.
I assume that at the beginning it was \"Maybe I can help work on this game!\"
Then it evolved to \"I can create an ultra-cool game and become a uber-dev in it!\"
I think that all the way through though, the relationships with the people were definately the most important bits, as well as the feel of being able to make a difference in a world being created. Perhaps in my current state, neither are goals that I feel particularly keen to pursue. Two years ago, I was most likely a lot like quite a few modern \"n00bs,\" just without a game to \"n00b\" in. I really don\'t think I want to go throught that process again.
