Wish list / Re: Skill Training Quests
« on: February 27, 2012, 11:34:52 pm »
This Idea has, to an extent, already been put into play, I noticed it mabey a year or more ago.
But when one is doing the cooking quests for Reffitia, one of them actually raises your cooking level by 1, without needing to buy or train the level, Im not sure if it is repeatable, but I know Ive gotten at least 3-4 cooking levels, from that quest, as it was repeatable in 4.03, and the quest wipe in 5.0 gave me another go at it.

Talk of dakkru and houses..
Thinking about it that house looks like it would go well with the death realm
Perhaps you should [join the team] work on expanding the death realm, as it is supposedly endless (?) It definitely needs to be bigger than it is. And I personally like the idea of there being a town in the death realm, or a small settlement, where people who have come to the death realm, and settled there, decided not to search for a way out.
Those houses could be used.

Then dont leave, keep that number up +1

I thank you, on behalf of them all, who may or may not have a forum account.
The house will be put to good use, when preperations are complete.

Wish list / Re: Avoiding the superman syndrome by stat rank capping
« on: February 23, 2012, 10:49:41 pm »
Ima throw in my five cents, towards the original post, there should be no cap, its an RP game, We all have the right to train whatever stats/skills we want, however that does not have to mean it is IC'ly part of the character, you can max every type of combat skill in the game, and still RP that you are only a sword master, if sombody wants you to duel them with axes, but your character is supposed to be weak with them, use a text duel, there is no reason to limit what we can do mechanical-wise, when everything relivant to the character, can be done through text, thats the whole point of RP isnt it?

If it helps, when you right click your item in the inventory, the stats of that weapon will pop up
Im sure you've done this, and you've seen weapon quality, attack delay, and weather it does slash damage, or pierce damage, ect.
The attack delay is how often you attack, ie a dagger has an attack delay of 1.5? I think, it may be 2
This means you attack every 1.5 seconds [or 2 seconds, see the delay] This is where the timing comes in, you would back out of range of the enemy, so it can not hurt you, and, usually while counting in your head, when you believe your attack delay timer is about to run out, you get close to the enemy so you can hit it, while then getting back out of range.
Practice makes perfect.

Training a new skill may be reccomendable.
Raline, if you didnt know already, different monsters, tho aremorless, are considered to be wearing different types of armor, ie: Light armor, medium armor, or heavy armor, monsters such as a rat, have a very soft hide/skin, so they could be considered light armor, thus a sharp blade cuts them up, and a blunt weapon has slightly less effect, A monster like an ulbernaught has a heavy thick hide, and I would assume is considered to have heavy or medium armor skin, so blunt damage would probably do more to them, anyway, they point is to try different types of weapons.

You can sometimes loot named axes, the chances are low but the loot generator sometimes creates them.

If you find an "Axe of the Hammer", an "Axe of Stone", etc., you'll probably guess which guilds may be interested in them... ;)
That really reminds me, if the hammerwielder and stonehammer races are just being combined into, dwarf, shouldnt the two guilds merge?

Ive never seen a goujah o.O
and dannae, the release of new mobs is probably the same as it was in 4.03, back then, they had models for riverlings, and i believe tlokes and vilenauts, and coamti, but they didnt release any of them intill 5.0
I assume it will be similler this time around, with them all being released at once, at the 6.0 mark, or some new 5.X update.
But otherwise, I agree :)
[edit] They also have had the model for kormi since 4.03, but they are 'still' not released, I would love to be able to hunt deer, and bring venison to the villagers. I'd reccomend an AI where they run away from people.

Im sure, when the diversity of monsters/animals increases, the ammount of low, med, and high strength monsters will increase as well.
Once you get into the really high levels of armor, almost no monsters can hurt you, so prepare for that, if it is so much of a burden.

When Jirosh goes to sleep, his assistant ____ could run in and work the nightshift, the one by all the boxes, im drawing a blank on his name, but I would assume it to be his job to run the nightshift :)
