Wow, its been a long time since I have been on PS or its forums. I have been busy with school and other things. I see the forum has changed and is looking very nice. But I am looking for the source for this game. All the source, the client and server source if its avalible. I am also looking for a few friends who once new me as Evangan. I would like to meet up with them again if they still come here.
I am looking for alot of things, maybe some documentation on Planeshift. I have been around for awhile, and seen some of the planeshift source but thats all XML and I was wondering where is all the meat of the game? I just want to know how the game is made, what graphics library it uses and things. What language it was built on and stuff like that.
I have been curious about this stuff ever since i started planeshift some time ago. I also want to know if the server has had Many updates since they wiped and added the new DR. I would kind of like to play again but I think most of my time will be spent here in the forum because I am learning C/C++ , OPENGL, and DIRECTX. So I can create games like this one. I know my path is a long way but I am up for the challenge.
Anyone who knows me or has anything to say at all please feel free to inform me about the new changes.

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / List of things that are a problem

Fall damage- Everytime I try to leave oja, and climb the side of a hill, if I slide down i die and return back to oja.
fly+jump- No more flying means no more climbing, no more climbing means i get bored really quick because when im not RPing i dont like to just sit around a kill monsters i like to climb.
Lag in Hydlaa plaza- I get lag spiked there alot, cant go back sense i died.
Infinate stamina- Once after attempting to climb I was granted infinate stamina. Then suddenly it was dropped to 0 and i couldnt move and it would refill.
HUD- The gui now is huge, and weird. I cant even change the skin to elves and I can\'t configure it how i had it before. Its an eye strain, not only that but the font is a few points higher as well.
Hair colors- The colors of the hair look horrible. They dont look realistic. They look like you took the original hair skin and changed the tones to make it look different color. Red headed dwarfs look like raggedy ann dolls. Black hair looks like a cut out in the \'space-time continueum\'. Brown hair on ywwnn females... well... it looks sick.
Stances- The new stances arn\'t adjusted for attack distance. So when using these new stances you don\'t hit the enemy you go through him and hit behind him.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Widgets Failed to load

Ok I started to load the game after I chose my character, after I updated to this new verison and now \'Failed to load 1 or more Midgets!\' WTH!!!!! I need help to fix this

Many of you Know Evangan, Well meet his brother and listen to his story, soon to be finished. (Written on wordpad so no spell check and im lazy so I hope everything is right)
Ryken\'s Story...
Born in small home in a small town run by a temple of Talad. I am the brother of Evangan. Aquavious is our family name, but I was given a new name during my life and I will tell you of that later. When we were born we were seperated, at the time I didn\'t know why. Evangan never even knew of the day. As we aged we were forced to never come in contact with eachother. Evangan never noticed I existed, but I knew he felt my presents just as I could feel his. The reason I know of him and he doesn\'t know of me I think is because when we were born he wasn\'t alive. When they pulled us away from eachother and kept us in seperate rooms the did what they could to bring him back. I watched, well watched as well as a kit my age could. I could\'t feel his heart beat until they brought him to life. That was the day I knew we were connected and there was something special about us.
For the seven summers of our lives, it being in spring now, we lived our lives between walls and behind doors, never being able to know of the other. But I already knew of him. The priests of the temple called for my father to bring me to them. As he did, I learned of the meaning of our seperation. The priests said that I was becoming more curious of my brother, and that I soon would try to contact him. The priests said if this would happen the land will be in peril. So the priests said my father would have to do something more to keep my brother from ever noticing my existance. The priest snuck up behind me and clubbed me unconcious. I woke up in a bag, bound and gagged.
My father and I then traveled, to this new land to the City of Ojaveda. He took me behind the boxes still in the bag and set me free. He gave me two swords and told me that this shall be my new home. That he knew I was strong enough to live alone. He then left me alone.... I didn\'t follow nor care, I just thought about the day I would go back and kill the priests.

Today on \'Cooking with Evangan\'. We will show you how to make foods in \'Planeshift\' without the use of the \'Cooking Skill\'.
Hi, I\'m Evangan, *smiles, sparkle* Ok, enough of that...
You can make foods by just role playing them out, like this one, I dont name them but this is how you make it...
I prepare everything on a clean tefusang hide
Apple Pie-Cake
Ingredients: 1 green or yellow potion, 1 apple, 2 bread
How to Prepare: Slice apple in to bite size pieces, Flatten both bread into circles, place apple pieces on 1 bread circle center, pour the liquid onto the apple pieces, place other bread circle on top, press seal the edges of the circles together, place over a fire and cook until golden brown, If bubble forms and gets too big, puncture small hole in top and let air release. Don\'t let it explode. After cooked, drizzle liquid on top of the cooked pie-cake you can even put apple pieces on top.
Stuffed steak-
Ingredients:1 meat, 1 mushroom, 1 carrot, 1 red and/or green potion, Any other meat, I used fish, 1 tefusang hide
How to Prepare: Slice pocket into meat, Chop mushroom, carrot, and fish into chunks and stuff them into the meat pocket, pour in green liquid. Stitch the pocket shut with a piece of tefusang hide, Make sure stitching is tight or while cooking it will open up and dump its contents. Cook over fire until meat is dark brown or to your liking. While cooking you can pour red liquid over the meat for added flavor.

The Ledgendary Stonebreaker Maul-
Underground, where the light cannot see, are battles being fought by Kran and Dwarves. A clan of
Stonebreakers, who dig tunnels looking for ore and crystals, managed to accidently dig into the living
room of a wealthy Kran couple, in there sense of wealthy...
As the Kran sat in the dining room crunching and chewing on there Diamonds and Gold, they heard the
crash. They got up and ran into the room, where the dwarves lay on top of their, now broken, table.
\"This is the last time!\" The large grey male Kran boomed and he ran and seized the dwarves. He dragged them
out of the his home, through the tunnels, to the Kran Council. Who at that time were in a meeting of
where to find the best tasting crystals.
\"You must do something about these dwarves, my council. They are destroying our homes, and stealing
our food.\" The male Kran said.
\"Your are absolutly right,\" the council said.
(And because this is crappy, and im lazy I\'ll skip to my point, if anyone wants to rewrite this or has
their own Ledgendary Equipment Stories, tell them)
The Kran Imprisoned the dwarves and set out to find more of the Stonebreaker Clan, bent on getting
them out of the ground forever..
After years of waring, the Stonebreakers managed to craft a weapon to destroy the kran, and also proves
a useful mining tool. The Stonebreaker Maul...
The Stonebreakers used the maul to dig tunnels faster by crushing stone with a magical force, and
when they came upon a Kran, they used the same force to crush the rock hard body of the Kran.
After many battles and many losses on both sides, they finally came upon an agreement, if the
Stonebreakers will stop using the maul and be more careful about where they mine, the Kran will stop
trying to kill the little dwarves...
Thus, the Stonebreaker Maul was tossed into a deep Cavern of the Underground, and was buried and
lost.
Now only rumors of the Ledgendary \'Stonebreaker Maul\' Exist.
(I wrote it quick, I didn\'t try to hard, I can write better, but I just thought of it because I was talking about
Uber weapons in another thread)

In the words of Evangan:
When I was younger, and striving for power, I saw everyone more powerful then me as a Challenge... Now that I can defeat them, I am looking for a new challenge.... I search as see.... The Forming of new guilds, and the loss and corruption of others...
One I am mainly conserned of is the \'Dark Empire\'. When I first opposed and defeated Sangwa I saw the \'Dark Empire\' as weak. But now, I am more curious of the purpose of the \'Dark Empire\'.
I have defeated most, and will defeat all of my foes, but I do not wish to gain more, and let past \'arguements\' go. I rather like to walk with \'Sangwa\' and find out what is happening to the \'Dark Empire\'. Also, I would like to walk with others to discover what is happening to this changing land.
Things arn\'t as they were when I first arrived, many changes have happened in such a short while. I just hope these changes are not for the worst....

I need a complete Pre-prefix, prefix, and suffix layout for all the weapons...
After searching, I couldn\'t find a single thing to help me, I looked in the coding of ps but there is sooo much I couldnt look at it all, and I did a search in the forum and still came up with nothing...
Anyone have a list of all the pre-prefixs, all the prefixs, and all the suffixs.. for those of you who dont know what those are....
Pre-prefix: Owl\'s
Prefix: Dark
Item: Dagger
Suffix: of the Warrior
I need a list of them all.. I know some but I want to know them all to compair them and find out the best items avalible

IRC is a downloadable program that requires you to PAY a fee to use, but you get a free trail. It allows you to directly contact the Devs, but you have to download it and it costs money...
The Forum: IS FREE, the game: IS FREE, IRC: IS NOT FREE..
See how this can cause a problem... If someone wants to report the abuse of a gm, or something similar, he cannot unless he pays a fee and waits on the download time. Now then I know PS has a long download time, so if you can wait throught that you should be able to wait through the irc download right? Well, suppose someone is fed-up with waiting... The forum doesn\'t need to be downloaded...
The game being free, means that the help in making the game a better place should also be free, and the government should be a \"to the vote\" thing instead of a tyranny of overlords who AT WILL can destroy someones \"fun time\" just because they were having a \"bad day\".
Also, when one wants to argue a point, or reference such Tyrannical behavior, they can\'t, do to the fact that if there \"trial\" is up and they don\'t the money, or the memory to get IRC then how do you expect them to explain what happened?
If the devs are making a game where people are only suppose to have fun when they are \"Told\" to have fun, then I guess this is totally fine, but totally pointless. There are so many rules that need to be discussed among the players, about the gms, and there power... but we can\'t because of the fact that we have to pay for a what should be free service. That we may only use once in our whole time, or twice in two seperate times being 1-2 months apart....

Naming Policy and \"so-called-spam\" in PS is actually very, very, VERY, ridiculous. Because if someone is a cat race, and wishes her/his first name to be Kat it should be allowed, because Kat is a legitimate name, its just when you take Real life into PS it doesn\'t seem legit, but then again I was muted, for shouting \"Spagetti\" ... They said spagetti doesn\'t exist... Well, if it doesn\'t then your basically ripping away my roleplaying theme, and even if it doesn\'t it should still just seem like \"gibberish\" to you. So if I said, \"I am a Dragon\" people should just look at me and be like, \"whats a dragon?\" instead of \"You can\'t say that because dragons don\'t exist\", well then they would because your actknowledging there existance in non-existance....

General Discussion / Crashed on me..

I dont know why it crashed or what happen, I\'m not even sure where to report such incedents but I saved a dump file so where ever i put it, i dont know, but it said to report it here...
