That is,
How can I put a compass in the GUI for orientate?
For know If Im going to North, East, West or South,
Thanks.
-
I'm afraid you can't. There are no compasses in the game yet and there probably will never be any in the GUI.
In the future people might be able to craft compasses as in-game items but until then you'll have to explore and learn how to find your way around Yliakum. If you're stuck, try asking some older players to guide you around.
-
Not to mention that the cardinal directions are vastly inconsistient in the maps... Not everything is really in the correct positions, yet. ;)
I'm sure we'll eventually have some sort of a compass item, but for now you'll just have to find your way on your own.

hehe i use the coordinate system ingame to find north :P +x +z +y : were +5(x) +5(y) = 5 units north
oh no im not the only one addicted to "lost"
-
Lol Minetus ;D . Sounds a bit hard to find out where you are.

Well, afaik you could add this... but it would involve getting your own art files, and hacking both the client code and some xml files. So it's really not worth it.
Besides, in a stalactite underground on a planet of unknown properties, would a magnetic compass even work? Much easier to navigate by the crystal.

This would be more problematic for the inhabitants of the lower levels of Yliakum, due to the distance from the cavern roof. People on the first and second levels may probably be able to orientate themselves using the crystal, but generally speaking, it is directly overhead no matter where you are.
-
Maybe the crystal could have a specific pattern of cracks, imperfections, etc. which would serve as the stars on our sky and could be used to navigate by?
"Head 200 paces towards the big crack in the sky." :P

If its any help at all, one of the NPC's told me that the Laanx Temple is north of the Statue which would make Ojaveda south of Hydlaa and make the city gate to the west. So basically Oja road runs north to south.
I don't know though, there are so many inconsistancies that it's hard to tell. I used to think the City gates were the north end of town so...anyways, the world isn't that big and once you get to know your way around its pretty easy.

From Hydlaa Plaza, we have East Hydlaa to the east (go figure) and then that has the Laanx Temple to the north, the arena to the south, and the gate out of town to the west. We then have Akkaio to the north. However, what you were told is correct, and Akkaio is supposed to be in the other direction. Not everything is in the right place, as of yet.
