I do remember reading somewhere about the spawn points, and that when there are more players online, then they would be put back.
Do you think it is time?
Last I checked at peek time there were 103 players online.
-
and at that
how come the ez get to have their normaly spawn points when the highest i've seen on there at a time is 18 XD
i miss my spawn points on laanx, appearing behind harns is not a happy place for me,. hydlaa is the laggiest place on earth and id rather avoid it >.>

Same! I am mostly seen there because I like to catch noobs and recruit them, and hate it! I loved it when it was in Ojaveda, I could almost do as I liked.
-
and in my honest opionion, i think having every single spawn point for each and every race in hydlaa, is the whole reason hydlaa is always so damn laggy, what was the point in moving em in the first place?

So that i don't have to sit next to the giant stone egg at the top of Gug.
-
I believe it was because, someone did some statistics and found the amount of Enkidukai/Kran leaving the game after coming on once was larger than Klyroses, Ylians, Ynnwns, and every other race that spawns in Hydlaa. So they guessed that is was because those noobs came on was like this game is dead no one plays I'm gonna not play.
-
I would vote for waiting with having spawn points that are far from another until we have 200+ players. The main point of it is, that I'd like to see ensured that newbies, who just arrived, have always enough other players around.
That Hydlaa is the place with the most lag is a bit unfortunate; but Harnquist is still the place where you find easiest other people.

200+ players... your dreaming right? PS at 200+ players is like unrealistic, I honestly would not play PS if I am a noob, if they go wipe all the characters I will not come back. And I do blame the PP system for it. There are not even 200 players in the world who have the specs to run it... and also I am rather sure that changing the spawn points could increase players :)
-
More then 200 players online happened almost every weekend evening (europen time) about 2 years ago...despite the training system that was already the same and without some of the now useable skills, a platinum mine, Gugrontid and the new caves.
-
Also sen... No matter how many players I am sure there wont be many in Ojaveda the only possibility is making a great reason to go there.
2 years ago PS was great :) now its just complicated and high requirements to run it.

Change 'PS' with she and you've got the story of every man's life. ;D

@ Vakachehk: You probably remembered this thread:
Spawn Point now in Hydlaa for all. (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=36638.0)
I'd prefer spawn points at least to be moved towards the sanatorium, because a) might be more credible and convenient for a matching roleplay; b) it is too embarassing to spawn and stay down in the center of attention - next to the forge; c) it raises the risk of losing expensive material for the crafters if they crash due to engine flaws (how often did I crash unhandled last week due to issues with the shadercache and appearing avatars in my sight range).
-
I like LigH's idea of having the spawn point around the sanatorium.
How many players are in other towns is indeed a question of what benefit they have. When all the crafting equipments are busy in Hydlaa and/or there are some ressources only to be found around Oja (or when Oja isn't the end of the road) will the player number there increase. But I don't think it's time for this with the current number of players/number of maps.

Regarding the sanitorium... You don't need it when you return from dr because your are fully healed ?
-
Fully healed ... except for the minor inconvenience called "Dakkru's Curse". :surrender:
I believe most chars will carry around more than half of their capacity.

I am one of them.
Well are you meaning the Sanatorium as in the one behind the Laanx Temple? well honestly I think it should be moved completely out of Hydlaa, since I carry swords with Dakkru's Curse (seductions).
-
I think a better solution to dakkru's curse is to get rid of sed weapons.
/me groans, Argh Dakkru's curse.. Heh heh.. Well, I'm super-rig.. I'll just run around like nothing happened with a pair of seds. Business as usual.
For that matter, why have the curse at all.
I say, make people respawn near the dark wanderer. That'll put the fear of death into them.

HAHAHA!
Plus then we'd be able to actually FIND the DW!!! :whistling:

She isn't that hard to find, but it is a good idea! but not for noobs coming out of tutorial PS noob community would be dead in like 1 second lol. What about implementing the 'Outh Stone' like off WoW (I think it is called something like that) in that way if a noob dies they can easily use it to get back to there home town without leaving PS full of confusion and annoyance. :) other than that spawn points for after tutorial needs to be discussed.

LOL! I always think Dermorians are just girls!!! I don't know why when I always have known there are guys and girls.
-
It's [.quote][./quote]
No periods.
-
*vakachehk jumps up and down angery*
it always happens when i quote someone but delete there quote grrrrrr!
And also Dermorian guys look like girls honest!
-
Only due to the long hair and the smooth face (in contrast to their clothes)?
;) "Racist! And you Enki look all the same!" ;)
-
yes it's definitely their aspects who makes them look like female almost everyone is caught in that trap at least at the beginning.
as for losing material you have a lot of time before you are kicked out (30 seconds) that's enough to lock ownership again after a crash before the char is kicked out of the world (ownership is restored on relog)
-
Yes smooth face and long hair.
We do not look the same!!!! I mean how can you compare to a fenki and a menki? well one a fenki is skinny as a stick and has saggy tits and a menki is rather fat/muscular. And I am not racist *Vakachehk begins to cry*
So adding to this lovely :offtopic: conversation what about asking the devs to add in an option that you can have a male dermorian that has short hair ???
-
I see your issues now ... you need to learn facial expressions of the bald-faced, to detect irony better. ;) { <= this was irony too }
And male Dermorians already can have different hairdos, like the slightly asian-looking horsetail style.
If Madame Snorial's Saloon was present more often, I believe more would take the chance to change.
And the Sanatorium tent has enough free space right next to it. ;)
-
I am meaning a shorter hairstyle.
-
implement small beards for the furless races' mabey he will stop complaining then

but it's the desert. never seen a living being there (figure of speech :P)

:( Yes, I know ... Doctor Forita is only present on weekends.
You hope to get more players staying when they are presented in embarrasment behind the forge.
I hope to see more Crystal Way trainees at the sanatorium when chars cursed by Dakkru land there.
