this has been bothering me for a while. :-[ male dermorians have huge brazilian butts. female dermorians hardly even have butts. shouldn't it be the other way round? or at least give them equally sized butts! X-/ not this gender-confused crap.
also, female derms have brock-eyes. you know. that guy from pokemon. and their heads are a bit disproportionately small for their bodies.
I'M BEING SERIOUS. these anatomical screw-ups annoy me! :-X lol

/me looks over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of two of the most attractive gluts in all the Dome. "Just call me Dermoreous Maximus" he grins, and winks at Sarras.
-
/me concurs on the glorious nature of Roled's glutes.
I suppose, now that I think about it, the lady elves have rather tiny bums, especially when looking in comparison to the Ynwnn and Enki ladies. But I always thought elves were supposed to be slender and willowy by nature?

then how do you explain THAT?
/me points to Roled

This topic is a little bit flood.

too much sitting around being served by fawning females, you have to make him get up and chase you once in a while! :whistling:
-
Put on some plate mail, everything seems to get bigger for she elves, when they are in plate.
-
I don't know how I feel about this topic... I personally find Kran butts most pleasing though :P
-
I agree with comments of Sarras above. It looks like models are being improved though - Ylians changed recently (they look slimmer now). But better file a bug in flyspray as an enhancement request. That way you can at least track the progress and get a feedback.
-
Ideally, I'd like to see a variety of body types to choose from regardless of race/gender (like slim, buxom for the ladies, average, fat, muscular), but that's a heck of a lot of work for the team.
-
You have a problem with my ass?????????

Say it to my face then!!!!!!!!!

Ideally, this would be great... The only issue is, you'd have every new player choosing "Muscular" or "Beautiful" or "Warlord" type bodies :P
-
Not me. I'd totally pick a tubby menki, and a scrawny Ylian. :whistling:

and why does that matter?
-
Because it's a waste of time making a 100 types of shapes when everyone uses 3.
-
don't think that's what he meant
-
Sarras, not everyone says stuff just for the sake of saying it.
-
what?
-
lol cognition fail

caraick meant that new players would rather choose godly physiques than weaker/fatter ones, so we'd have a bunch of jacked idiots running around. don't know where sangwa got the 100 types of bodies or whatever from.
-
Caraick said the idea would be great, but that it'd be limited by the choices players actually make. The limitation here is that you wouldn't actually see that many differences, even though you had lots of different skins.
Well Caraick either meant this would be a waste of time, or he was just speaking about the whole deal for the sake of reminding us how people love looking awesome (which is saying something for the sake of saying it). Since I give Caraick some credit, I opted for the previous hypothesis and not the latter.

Bind appearance to be chosen at character creation to initial stats. Bodybuilder type of guys would have high physical stats and low mental ones, other appearances accordingly. And then also (finally) implement restrictions for levels of stats so that an Einstein char wont be trainable to Schwarzenegger physique and Legolas agility at the same time. Three or perhaps five different physiques would already be sufficient.
-
If you do that, Phage, you are limiting the amount of growth a character can progress through. Sure, some people would just start with a buff dude and then make him a genius as well just to be the PL-Pwner. But some people actually role play character development, and for them, especially the many people who are creative enough to start with a child character and grow them up, they would be stuck. Any child alt would have to start off weak and relatively unintelligent, and then grow stronger and smarter.. but that would be possible if you didn't allow them to grow in multiple areas. You would also negate the retired warrior, who chooses to become wise in his old age.

um... i really don't get where this stereotype comes from. some of the smartest men i've ever known were/are bodybuilders. this is a ridiculous generalization and i'm sick of seeing it on every MMO.
-
It's a common stereotype, since the smartest men have no time for body building. If you picture in your head really smart people (and not your neighbor), like Einstein, Newton and whoever, you'll never picture them as the muscular type.
Still, I agree that it's a silly stereotype and in no way would I ever want characters to be limited into being either smart or strong. It should just be made harder to become both. (It currently is a bit hard, since you get less PPs if you raise your stats. Still, it'd be good if for every stat you raise the others decreased 0.001 to simulate choice of focus.)

Not really; I have a fat menki and an unhealthily-slim nolthrir. Admittedly I do have a couple of muscly characters, but those ones are either trained up or will be; the rest of my entirely-too-many alts are pretty much average.

WTF Sarras, you think I'm Sangwa?
-
Don't ask too much out of her.
Also, don't ask too much out of yourself. You're not every new player.
