The link is to the old board ...a blank.
Could someone relink this or answer the question...I'm getting the same error message.

EDIT:
Fixed it by downloading/installing vcredist_x86.exe from Microsoft site.

1 Kran
1 Ylian (new)
That I play and 2 Kran for storage.

Ok its a driver issue, thanks for the link was searching for 'freezing' not 'crashing'

EDIT:
I've installed the 8.10 CCC driver still no joy.

4
I'm running Win XP Pro sp2 on a AMD x2 2400 2.3ghz
Asus M3A78-EM motherboard
2gb ram
I'm using the onboard ATI 3200 video w/256mb ram (shared)
ADSL 384KBS up/3552KBS down

I made an alt and found that he does go through the fighting moves. But still froze up.

EDIT:
i think I got it sorted, updated my video driver - ATI Catalyst Control Center v8.9 - and all seems to be fixed.

EDIT:
That didn't work....still freezes up.

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Psclient freezes
« on: October 12, 2008, 08:44:30 pm »
I think my caricature may be corrupted he doesn't go through the fighting moves in combat , just stands there. The fight continues to a conclusion and I usually win - I've played long enough to know what I can beat - but my guy just stands there not swinging at all.
And then theres the constant freezing up of my ps client, the cursor becomes an hourglass and scene is frozen and stays that way. When I open taskmanager there are always two instances of Planeshift Steel Blue  both 'not responding'.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / No mirrors available
« on: October 11, 2008, 11:47:18 pm »
I have installed the client, corrected 'false' to 'true' , now the updater says there are no mirrors available.
Are they down for a particular reason? When will they be back up?

EDIT:
Firewall was blocking access.

7
Anyway, here's my problem:

I've downloaded the Plane Shift client for Mac OSX 10.3.9. I received a faulty psupdater.app that even says it does not work and that I must download another one. I've downloaded another version for version 4.02. STILL it does not work!! The updater freezes while opening. Whenever I try to open and play Plane Shift, it says I do not have the correct version and that I should run the updater.
Is that a typo - should be 4.01 - or are we in the midst of an version update?

8
Just reinstalled PS got the right  updaterinfo.xml file back. Put fixed psupdater.exe in folder now there are no mirrors available.

9
I did have that updaterinfo.xml file, changed it as specified and updated succsessfully now I keep getting frozen everytime I enter the game it just stops responding. I looked into updaterinfo.xml and now I have this there:

If you try to log in with the application and the server is down it will tell you that.
I don't see why you'd come here to see if you can log in.

Don't worry. Just install Firefox with the US English Dictionary that will automatically underline errors in the posts you are writing on forums. :)
And if you right click on the underlined misspelled  word will offer a correctly spelled option.
