The cave is big enough for lots of rain to form, don\'t worry about that. And the temperature inside isn\'t too different from \"normal\" temperatures that we have here, so generally it\'s pretty much around a nice warm early summer day, all year. Unless it rains, then it\'s a little colder. And again, you have to keep in mind that Yliakum is very, -very- big. Really huge. The first level alone is thousands of miles or so, in diameter.

Sorry for being nosy, but why are you in such a hurry to write down notes when you\'re playing? Take your time and write so you can understand it. In PS\'s state, I can\'t possibly see why you would want to hurry about anything, seeing as there\'s almost nothing to do anyway. Unless of course you\'re fighting some big and bad monster, but who stops to take notes in the middle of a fight?! :)

I\'m personally one who favors handwritten notes more than yet another ingame feature (features destroy games), simply because it makes one feel that things which happen ingame also have an effect on things outside of the game, and it\'s probably also because I\'m so used to playing tabletop games where you don\'t really have yet another ingame feature available to you. You have to do with what your imagination gives you, and what your notes tell you.

I love taking notes of my games, and that\'s probably because I\'m the only person who used to do it, and my old GM used to punish everyone else for not doing it. :) Ahh those days of real RPing... *flashback*

PS. Closed the old thread to keep people from bumping up old, already answered questions.

Because it\'s a copy of The Book of Names, by Laanx.

Thread is old, but holds a lot of discussion about marriages.

There is another idea that just came to me... You could not make characters that you don\'t need! A little forethought and the whole problem\'s solved. :P

Actually, we can just let PS go the way it\'s going now, and eventually everyone will end up being GMs. Then they can just delete their own characters instead. :)

Why is it easier to check if a another character is on the same account as the one submitting the petition rather than just immediately deleting the character that submitted the petition? I\'m just curious. Sounds like an awful waste of time to me.

The day the GMs start messing with the settings of PS is the day the game gets entirely screwed. Don\'t get me wrong, the GMs are nice and all, but they\'re GMs. They have no clue what\'s the settings is all about. If you want these so called Event Masters, you\'re looking for a solution which includes someone from the settings development team that joins the game with a GM9 char, and plays out a plot ingame. GMs aren\'t game masters in your P&P way. All they\'re supposed to do is make sure people don\'t swear and don\'t get stuck. But sure, if you wan\'t an even worse roleplaying situation than the current one, go ahead and keep wishing for this to happen. I promise you that you\'ll regret it. :)

The magic shop is in the forest outside of Hydlaa. It\'s not that hard to find. Just take a left turn at the T cross. :)

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) /
« on: July 04, 2005, 11:08:22 am »
Step 1:

Click here to download PlaneShift: Crystal Blue - v. 0.3.010.

If you already have this file and know where it is on your computer, disregard this and continue to Step 2.

Choose where to save the file (desktop is preferred for easy location of the file in the future).

Step 2:

When the download is done, find the file on the desktop or whereever you chose to save it ( it is called \"PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010.exe\" - if you can\'t find the file, just put that filename into the search function in Windows ( Start Menu > Search )) and doubleclick it.

This will launch the installer and give you a very easy to understand walkthrough if you just bother to read the text which gets displayed on the screen.

When the game is installing ( it says that it is copying a lot of files, and it shows a lot of %\'s ), wait for it to finish. This should take a few minutes.

Step 3:

When the installer is done and you have closed it down, open up your start menu, go into Programs, and find the PlaneShift Crystal Blue folder, and in there, you run the one called \"PlaneShift Updater\". This is a pretty much automated process once you click the \"Update\" button, and when this is finally done downloading the newest updates, you will be able to click a button that lets you run PlaneShift.

Step 4:

Enter your account informations in the two fields ( login is your email, password is the one you chose during account creation ). If you do not have an account, go make one here.

Step 5:

Enjoy.
