Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /

What you guys don\'t realise is, the reason consoles have a lot slower processors then pcs and memory, yet still have stunning games running at high detail with no lag, is because consoles do not have to run operating systems and all this backround bull , you just pop in the cd and play . Personally I have never used an Xbox, but I imagine if all you need to do is burn planeshift to a dvd and try to play it in your xbox (does it work like that with the other stuff you tried?) It could run fine.

Is it really necessary to close Planeshift when the server goes linkdead? The game runs fine for me now, I don\'t have any problems besides that. It\'s a nuisance to have to start planeshift all over again everytime the server goes linkdead.

It would help if I could move enouh to get away from the plaaza or whatever. Its so damn laggy I can barely see where I move.
I just updated my drivers earlier today, and it wasn\'t even for PS! Also, I didn\'t know the pssetup file could change settings, thanks.

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Insane lag / Uber low FPS?

Finally got my character created and everything, I connect to the server and I am either getting <.5 fps or 1000+ ping. I have tried molecular blue before and then it was pretty laggy and everything but this is ridicolous. It\'s not playable at all.
PC Specs:
A64 3200+ @ 2.25ghz
1GB Corsair RAM
Radeon 9600PRO 128mb
120GB WD 7200RPM HDD.
I really don\'t think it should be lagging like this, also I would really like to be able to set it to full screen. I didn\'t find any configuration files in the planeshiftCB directory.

I only posted here a few times when I was new, but I check this forum frequently because I am interested in the games progress, especially your 3d art. I\'ve been watching Cherpows 2 threads and a few more. First time seeing this thread and I think you have some great ideas, I would really love to see the one demon modelled, this one:

I have a 1.4ghz , 384mb RDRam, and a 128mb Geforce 4 MX440. I can play the game, and it will run smoothly at time, then it will just lag like mad for no apparent reason. I have the latest drivers and everything and I play other games in OpenGL with 60 fps, I hope the next release will really be optimized a lot.

I mean visually, i\'m almost positive that in future releases they will implement things like different hair styles, different faces (only slightly different). more hair colors, different clothes styles, more clothes colors, things like that.

Nevermind, I got it to work. I have a name I don\'t want. Actually it doesnt work, after it said it loaded it froze up and then it said \'not responding\'. You should probably put system requirements on the main page.

I can\'t create a character! What\'s up with that? I have the program and everything, I went through all the steps but it keeps telling me that \'name is in use\' even though I doubt all 10 of the names i\'ve tried are in use, so whats wrong? I really want to try this game out but i\'m afraid I can\'t until I get an account. Please help me
