All I think is that check your sound card/soft ware that you\'re using, check the system specs if u might; and check your sound if it\' mute. If not I go what they say above

Wish list / NPC's 24-hour schedule

In the future (when PS will be nice and pretty) I believe that NPCs should have a simple (but not scripted) 24-hour schedule.  Like as the saying here:

\"Our virtual world is persistent, and this means you can connect to it at every hour of day or night and you will always find players and npcs wandering our realms. \"

if I remember this... a non-scripted 24-hour schedule for an NPC requires a good AI, similiar what an average player might do. (such as if the NPC is hungry at his/her home they would go to their dinner room get meat sit at tabvle, ect). Another example I remember seeing from the next-gen morrowind game... A women was trying to fire arrows at this small target, which she is VERY bad at. Then she knows that she needs something to improve herself, she goes to her cabinets and drinks a potion which increases her Archery skills. And since the DEVs wanted a \"living, breathing world.\" They can add some things out-of-the-ordinary. Such as thiefs breaking into shops during the night, ect.

And also I would like a smarter NPC... say that a normal civilian is attacked by this high leveled thug. So he cries out for help from nearby civilians so the civilians gang up on the thug, tie him up, report to guards, ect. and something like that.

I figured that I can super jump in the Tavern... The trick was to first position yourself behind one of the chairs (preferringly the Chair near the entrance) and run towards it. Thn just keep running at it (your not moving but running in place toawrds the chair) then press the jump button several times and BOOM. YOu just super jumped :D

i htought up this ideafrom this strategy game I was playing, say when All the features are implemented. Why not we have rocks, trees, and etc. as cover?

Example:

An Oak Tree provided 20% Damage reduction against arrows for those standing around it, and -20 Against Fire Based Spells, 30% Reduction against Earth Spells. And so on.

DIfferent Cover require different attributes, and the player has a choice to \"use cover\" if desired, if not, he will not gain the damge reduction.

BUt, Since we have the next-gen engine coming up like the Unreal Engine 3 (which is cool). how is crystal space able to counter it? What feature does Crystal space stand out more than the unreal Engine 3?

General Discussion / A Thing that kills all Free MMORPGs

When PS becomes complete and popular with everyone theres one issue that kills all Free MMORPGs, server eing overloaded, for some Free (and certainly addictive)
MMORPGS, I stop playing them because their servers are always Full and won\'t allow me to get in.

Even though this isn\'t a critical issue right now, sisnce PS is still an Alpha, I would like to warn all of PS dEvs and players out there, THIS IS VERY LIKELY TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. seriously, it could. Some Free MMORPG have so much complaints about Servers they change their game not to be free, so players must pay-to-play (in other words, PtP). but PS made an oath PS will be forever free, so keep this in mind everyone.

i forgot the name of that goblin-like creature (can\'t spell it right) but I don\'t see it in the sewers! has it become extinct? all the NPCs I saw was only a weak Tefu and 1 rat, after exploring most of the sewers, plz, bring them back

Every game has its own engine to make the game easier to produce, such as the Unreal Engine (used in games like Lineage 2, Unreal TOurnament 2004, and splinter Cell) Wut engine do the Devs use? or do they code PS by themselves?

Heres some more things I would add--->

-The Great Tree of the Azure Crystal-
Type: Forest Area/Dungeon/City
Location: Somewhere among the plains
Info: For many years there was a place where a small tree fed from the nutrient of a shard of a Azure Crystal, and as many might have guest it, it grew ALOT. THe Tree is now somewhat a renewable energy/food source. Where villagers all around it feed on it bark and founded \"some\" way to conduct energy from the Tree. THe Bark, is tasy and nutrious and makes wounds heal faster, but is expensive

-Grave of the Damned-
Type: Cemetary Dungeon
Location: Far, Far, Far, Away
Info: This is where the onof the toughest baddies (NPCs Monsters) come, a newbie would survive even a hit of those creatures there, the grave is filled with a poisonous stench (which decreases ur life every .1 per second) and has Tombs and Graves waiting to be discovered, holding... valuable Treasures

Since there was no thread like this, I just made this so all PS players can post their ideas about Dungeons, and Exotics location they liked to see, Post here and display this when posting:


(Such as Forest Dungeon, Water dungeon, Breen Desert.. ect.)

Heres some areas I liked to see in the game for myself.

-Sleeping Forest-
Type: Dungeon Forest
Location: somewhere near the forest area after you leave Yalkium
Description: The sleeping forest should be a place of Tranquility, such as players who want to take off sometime and chat with some buddies or lovers. The Should be a Temple there like a -Sleeping Temple-, where there will be FOrest-based-Monster NPCs to train on.

-Ruins of the Talad Temple- (I did read the story about Laanx and Talad, I think they didn\'t mention about a Talad Temple)
Type: Just like the Laanx Temple
Location: Outskirts of Yalkium
Description: THis temple was before a place to worship Talad long ago, but is now in Ruins, and there has been sighting of dangerous monsters lurking, but the sightings include vast beauty of neatly crafted walls and huge stone treasures, and it is rumours that of a powerful god-like creature gaurding a room where it is believe to Hold precious treasure

I agrees the Darklar\'s opinion to gain exp and all. But I heard that the gaining exp system will be altered, but not goiong to be easier
