General Discussion / Hanging out in the tree

Hey does anyone, especially those who have been around for a while, remember jumping off the wall, up by the entrance to the sewers near Kada's, and into the tree just below, haha I do!! I was just hanging out there >.<

OOC:I have a screenshot of a bunch of us in it, but I will have to find the right DVD that I stuck it on and I will put it up ASAP!

Ok so I figured out what was wrong with my sound, turns out my Audigy sound card has gone cuput! Somehow my interface problems disappeared after I installed some more ram, so I have a feeling that it might have something to do with that, oh well it's fixed now YAY!!  so could I have a mod possibly close this thread??

Actually my home computer does not have on-board video, my lab computer does and I have no problems with either the interface or the sound, although it does graphically lag out pretty bad in the plaza and the arena..I try to avoid those areas when I'm using my lab computer.  So I really don't know both copies of planeshift are fresh installs, it's rather weird to be honest

Ok i know that this problem has been posted before but I haven't really seen any fix to this problem, even the bug tracker hasn't really helped me. My computer runs PS pretty well except for one tiny little problem, the sound is very choppy and slow, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for my SB Audigy 2 ZS, turn down the hardware accel as suggested in the forums, even gone as far as completely uninstalling and reinstalling PS, to no avail, also when the map switches to the road to oja my user interface gets all corrupted.  Any help with these issues would be great, even just points to the forums that have the fixes.  Thanks All

EDIT: I'm actually in my computer lab class right now using a Dell Optiplex 745 with intergrated Intel graphics and onboard sound card and not having any problems that I'm having at home. Oh and here are the specs for my computer

Athlon 64 3200+
512 MB of RAM
RADEON 9550 with 256MB RAM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS Gamer Edition
Windows XP Home

I\'m just reinstalling the whole thing, I updated the client on my parents computer just fine, which is odd :-S.  I\'ve had PS on that computer since version0.03.00.04 or something like that....waaaaayyyy back in the day!

nothing failed, I just keep getting the trepor.zip and I still have a Time out prob.  what is the latest version od the updater I dont\' know if mine updated properly

Ok here is my problem.

I have updated PS perfectly fine updater now works.  I get into the game, my ping is a little high, I get into the character select and click join game, and I get stuck at where the load page says \"Requesting World.\" I have uninstalled and reinstalled PS, as well as made sure it as all the permissions it needs on my Firewall (which is Norton btw).  I have tryed to join several times and to no avail.  Can any help me with this?

I have the new version as well the V...006 u need to update it in order for it to run because u also get the incorrect version as well

I also had the same problem, now when I don\'t update I can\'t even connect the server, and it doesn\'t even have the right name, can we fix this without updating??
