General Discussion / Early observations

Now, onto my observations:
1. Even though I had created female characters, when I log onto the server, the chars are male. Is everyone supposed to be male for the tech demo? On the creation screen, I chose female twice, but when I\'m in the world, lo and behold the char I am propelling is male.
2. There is definitely a \"falling in the abyss\" bug, which I had encountered when walking in the town fountain area.
3. Little laggy, but that is to be expected.
4. The housing structures and dimensions are very nice.
5. Still no consistency with arrow control with regards to zooming in/out. When I had walked into the anvil area, the side arrows were zooming me in and out. Very odd. Otherwise, the forward and back arrows were fine.

Wonderful work, development team. >>

Just a few of the many games I play/played:

*Nexus, Kingdom of the Winds = still a subscriber, mainly for the community...or rather, the social circle my characters there have made over the years.
*Dark Ages = beta tester and subscriber. Cancelled the account now, due to the policies set up by both GM\'s and players in multiple positions.
*Elemental Saga = beta tester. If they only listened to me and many others, they would probably be in commercial now. Alas, they are back to the drawing board with no plan to release commercial. This is classic example of allowing rampant pk/griefing does to a game.
*Dark Age of Camelot =subscriber.
*Myth of Soma = beta tester
*Lunatix = subscriber
*Xenimus = could not even leave the safe zone to try and better my characters.
*Runescape = no longer play, due to the influx of non-rp\'ers only wanting a cyber date =/
*Furcadia = no longer play. Was quite interesting to create \"dreams\".
*Quest = beta tester.

...and this is only a portion of the MMORPG\'s I play/played, not including text MUD\'s.

Patiently awaiting:
*Planeshift
*CoH
*NWN

Ahh, a most wonderful advertisement for what seems to be a warm and inviting establishment.

I may perchance stop by for a pint, maybe two, to pass the days before the caverns deep are finally accessible.

What glorious stories may be shared amidst the rabblerousers that frequent...and all for the price of a mug of brew!

I cast my personal vote for gameplay.

Graphics become nothing more than eye candy after a while, and also quite time consuming for the developers.

Then again, my opinion is based on years of text MUD\'s and pen and paper roleplaying. After all, imagination is the best graphic engine one can have...its limitless!  :D

One kind word becomes a preamble.
One glint of the sun burns into the glorious rays of day.

I think I have found the kindred spirits among those that dwell within these walls.
Artisans of the pen, of the brush, and of the soul.

*Bows to Kada-El in appreciation*

A bit of kindness in a cold cold world.
Will it warm up anytime soon?
Only time will tell by the breezes that roll through this temporary oasis.

Too many realms inhabited with frigid souls.
Let this not be counted as one.

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Lost in the change

Good day,

Am I perhaps missing the changeover?

I was a registered poster on the old forum boards.
Now I find I had to re-register, yet when I see the member list, many have kept their old register date.

On the old forum board, I was known as LyssiahStormwhisperer. Perhaps it is a bit of ego, but I would like to see it reset to my old registration date.

Thank you
Lyris Krystalstorm
