Wish list / Re: Dwarven women
« on: April 23, 2007, 11:26:25 am »
Sorry I restarted this thread. But it is important to me. :)

First of all: I was talking about the visible model, not  characters. Sorry I did not express myself clearly.

Anyway, I dont like -seems I m not alone- a general oversexyness. A "girl/guy next door"- look for all would be perfect. (People loving perfect looking models may leave to Guild War :P)
I personally do like that model, but i think my opinion is not shared among many others. Once a female player said "i really love dwarves, but the female model is just too ugly so i desided to start with a diabola" and i thnk she is not the only one. Imo it is the same to /many male players.

about RP:
i think a dwarf would likes how the body of lady dwarves appear. sure they dont like petite women. (but why the DR do some dwarves run after fenkis??Please improve your RP,brothers. You know who you are! ;P )

Last but not least: We all know you, Karyuu and all other devs do a good job and you work hard. BIG BIG THANKS to you! Especially your work is great, Karyuu!

"But please work at dwarf-girl-model first!" *ducks and sneaks out* "dont beat me!" (hehe)

Wish list / My worries about lady dwarves
« on: April 20, 2007, 04:55:25 pm »
Hi there!

In generel: Races are built after some common stereotypes "dwarves have beards, elves have pointy ears" It is nearly always the same. No problem about that! But in my opinion PS's chars shall NOT be exactly the same like Tolkien's (sure his books are one of the greatest wihtin fantasy literature, btw) or other myths, settings, films, books, whatever.

Appearence of female dwarves and their population:

Compared with all other females in PS they appear as chubby, grimmy, little girls. Both male and female players who deside to play a female character want to have an attractive one. Thats why there are such less dwarf girl around. I dont speak about turning them into short sexy pinup girl but just give em a bit more cuteness. E. g. friendly smile or a light correction of their body shape for more female appearence.
I think that will increase the number of lady dwarves in Yliakum. "Dont let the dwarves die out within the next 3 generation!"

Wish list / Not a sligshot. but let stones fly!
« on: June 28, 2006, 04:51:26 pm »
Hi all!

Got 2 ideas for throwing stones
First the easier one:

Weapon name: Murmur Stick, cause of the sound it does used

How many hands needed: one or two

Weapon Base: wooden stick

Projectile: Stones, spiked wooden balls or easy breaking leatherbags carrying burnable oil or acid. all with a hole in it.

Type of impact: blunt piercing or burning target

What it looks like: at the down side of the stick (appr.3-4 feet long) there is a handhold. somewhat higher there is a cross-brace where the projectile rests. the stick may be bended lightly, can be flexible a bit. there is a simple trigger mechanic to release the projectile. the effect the primitive weapon has: it makes you throw farer than only with your hands. especially for the dwarves (high strength, short arms)

Strengths: short reload time, various ammo: burning oilbags good for heavy armor, easy to learn. can be ised to defend in close combat but gets damaged then.

Weaknesses: less precise and less damage for long ranges.

Costs: murmur stick is very cheap. ammo prize a bit higher than a arrow, depends on kind.

the second idea is a one-man-catapult

Weapon name: Arm of earth

How many hands needed: 2

Weapon Base: a wooden column and a spring steel

Projectile: stones, leatherbags with burning oil

Type of impact: blunt, burning

What it looks like: the basic is a wooden column or 2 wooden stacks with a metal pike and foot rest at lower end to fix it at the ground. this is hold by one hand. the other hand bows the huge spring steel, fixed at the lower end of culomn, back. at the top of the spring steel the ammo can be placed.

Strengths: the stones can break shields and armor, wooden walls either. long range

Weaknesses: unpecise. high strength required. physically exhausting, heavy to carry. hard to learn

Costs: high price for weapon, ammo prize varies: stone cheap

Newbie Help (Start Here) /
« on: July 21, 2005, 07:49:38 pm »
the bottoms mean to start an attack with a certain stance.
i dont know if there are real differences between them.

but fact is that you START an ATTACK. and your character will CONTINUE attack until the oponent is dead, you are too far a way from it or you END your attack.

so just klick attack ONCE and watch in third person view your character kill the rat.
