the full game-data is available for download at biowares website. at least for linux-users. but i think the data should work in win, too ;)
just have a look at the linux-client-install-instructions in the community.

all you need to play is a cd-key.

1024x768 - debian linux, xordan-binary (if that changes anything)
the default gui looks a bit weird - the text is often too big for the panels. i installed the bauraksered-skin and everything looks fine. thanks to the creator of that skin - it is great!

if your kernel is compiled with sysrq-key-support (default debian-kernels are), you can press \"AltGr\"+\"Print Screen\"(aka SysRq)+\"R\" to get keyboard-control back. if even that doesn\'t work, you are in trouble ;)

i finally managed to update (thanks ligh), but now i can\'t connect to laanx.
the reason seems to appear on my console:

this seems like a bug to me :(

perhaps you should try testing instead of unstable/experimental. things are known to be broken in unstable/experimental (that\'s where the names are from). testing often proves to be a better choice if you aren\'t a debian-developer.
if you are: my biggest excuses and thank you for providing us with debian, but you should think about installing testing on a machine for gaming, ... ;) :D

Linux Specific Issues / problems with updating DR
« on: November 06, 2005, 10:38:15 am »
i used the search to look for issues with the deathrealm, but i only found a crash-bug-thingy.
when i update with xordans r3-patch applied, everything except the DR goes fine. for this i get:
Code: [Select]
MD5 sum doesn\'t match after downloading art/world/deathrealm.zip. SkippingFollowing files failed:
art/world/deathrealm.zip

could somebody please provide a link to a working DR including md5sum, until this issue is fixed?

not-so-important-bug: there should be a \\n after \"Skipping\" ;)

i love names like those.
there\'s nothing better than an Owl\'s Dark Copper Broadsword of Crystal. (ok in fact this one may not exist, but i think it\'s cool anyway)
those names are better than \"Broadsword +5\" or something. although there should be a rule to translate between \"Broadsword +5\" and \"Adjective Broadsword\".
