If not short on bandwith, try using the linux binary form the planeshift page and see if it still happens.
I\'ll give it a try. Tomorrow (due to my bandwith - ISDN) I will test it.

By the way... I\'ve tried the nv driver instead of nvidia and it worked, but (of course) incredibly slow. The newest version of nvidia-glx (v1.0.7676) no more supports GeForce2 GTS, so I\'m stuck with v1.0.6629.
Code: [Select]
(II) NVIDIA X Driver  1.0-7676  Fri Jul 29 13:01:02 PDT 2005
(II) NVIDIA Unified Driver for all NVIDIA GPUs
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(WW) The NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro GPU installed in this
(WW)      system is supported through the NVIDIA Legacy drivers.
(WW)      Please visit http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html for
(WW)      more information.  The 1.0-7676 NVIDIA driver will ignore
(WW)      this GPU.  Continuing probe...
(EE) No devices detected.
