okay before bashing another game play it :/
as for comparison in my opinion it depends on what you like it which the better game will be
Both are very well made up games to play. If you are more for the role play of the game planeshift wins by a landslide but if you like the fighting and taking on npcs + other characters mh is much better. The labels in mh can be turned off so that you don\'t have to see stores, names or guild marks. Mh does keep their community active with events and special gifts out to the community. Planeshift has their role play events and some of these are often created by the players themselves. The fighting styles and skills in mh have a big affect for me. These for now are lacking in ps but may improve in the future. Mh is very active with guilds and hold weekly/monthly wars (not sure how often being I don\'t belong to a guild), also guilds get bonuses for all their guild members. In planeshift most of the guilds are role play originated. When it come to finding npcs to talk with planeshift is much more difficult to do this being that none are labeled and they cant direct you to the npc you may want. (for example Harn sells weapons but you wont know that unless you talk with him where as in mh the merchants and such are called grocers but ones for your quests are labeled with names) also all npcs are marked on your map for mh but planeshift you have to look or ask someone as to where one you may need is.
My opinion no game is better because the are two different kinds of games just they land under the same title \"mmorg\". But is role play non-exisent in mh? Actually it does exist it is just hard to find and challenges the players to have to look for it. As for the names in the game and judging rp on that O.o look at their rules and planeshifts.... very big difference.
