Lock it, by all means. I mean, if somebody gets pissed they\'ll start a new b*tch thread anyway, right?

iMac/Power Mac(8,2) G5
OS 10.4.3
1.8 GHz G5
1 GB DDR SDRAM
ATI Radeon 9600, 128MB VRAM

Planeshift version 0.3.012 (updated from 0.3.011 on 11/07/2005)
Planeshift runs
Average FPS: 25-125 (depending on time and area).

Errors/Stuff I encountered:

- total system freeze when SHIFT + OPTION etc. key used too much

Hey... I encountered the same issue (quitting pssetup.app), albeit for a different reason:

Link (dyld) error:

Library not loaded: /sw/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/Games/Planeshift3D/pssetup.app/Contents/Resources/freefnt2.csbundle
  Reason: image not found
Model: PowerMac8,2, BootROM 5.2.5f1, 1 processors, PowerPC G5  (3.0), 1.8 GHz, 1 GB
Graphics: ATI Radeon 9600, ATY,RV351, AGP, 128 MB

Just as FYI. The rest just works fine... got some bad FPS though (25-100), but then I am sitting in Asia.

Yeah, I figure the app wasn\'t the java updater, but I thought it kinda fits into this thread (didn\'t want to start another thread). I just wanted to mention it. I know it\'s quite frustrating to get stuff to work.

Something for the developer (Chaos or whoever)....

The updater.app uses about 70% of the CPU capacity on my iMac G5 while downloading updates, which I deem a bit too much considering it\'s a fast processor and you are just downloading stuff... and even if it was compiling... 70%??? Since the recent G5 iMacs autoadjust the fan speed to the cpu use/ temperature your fan is kinda lifting off while using the app.

Anyhoo, just FYI. Keep up the good work.
