The Hydlaa Plaza / MMORPG's
« on: February 22, 2007, 03:55:01 am »
Well, I just went in-game for the last time here and gave away all my of my many hundreds of thousands of trias to whoever wanted them.  I've taken down my website, guildlisting.com.  So long everybody!  Maybe I'll come by and check out Planeshift again in a year or so to see how it's doing.  If you want to find me, I'll be in Second Life.

Come to think of it, with a bit of effort and money, planeshift in it's entirety could be replicated in secondlife!

Except that's a big no-no :P

Well, I didn't mean someone should actually go and copy the graphics and maps of planeshift... I just meant that it would be possible because the users have the power to create anything in secondlife.

Also, if anybody reading this does try it out, and would like to give me referal credit, use the following link when you create your account...

I'd like to mention SecondLife again (somebody mentioned it in this thread a ways back)... the client (for windows, mac AND linux) has been open-sourced and the world is growing hugely...  it is free to play.  You can do anything there and there is SO MUCH to explore.  You pay only if you want to own land or run a business or purchase currency.  With it's own economy, combat system, 3D building tool, etc.. I see it as a perfect role-players paradise.  Everybody that enjoys planeshift should check out secondlife.com.  Come to think of it, with a bit of effort and money, planeshift in it's entirety could be replicated in secondlife!

My favourite Canadian!

It doesn't get much hotter than Elisha Cuthbert in my opinion.

My last gaming console was the Atari 2600.  Have been avid computer user after that and I don't really understand the point of consoles anymore... other than you can play while sitting on your living room couch... but even then, FPS games that require a mouse really suck on consoles.

I saw Iron Maiden about 3 years ago, on tour with Dio and Motorhead.  I actually liked Dio better.. Ronnie is more skilled at vocals than Bruce.   Motorhead is monotonous tiring crap.  Mostly.  Lemmy can't sing... but maybe that's the appeal?

Ninja are trained in Ninjutsu, which is an ancient art of espionage and assassination.  The pirates would be silently killed before they even realized there are Ninjas in the area.  Ha.  Ninjas > Pirates.

Ok, I will be implementing these good suggestions shortly.  And once again, if anybody has graphics or different template for me to use for the site, I will gladly accept it... I suck at graphics and design being mostly a PHP coder.

If anybody has a guild that they have taken over and need access to their guild entry, just email me ylikone@gmail.com and tell me what login/pw you want and I can modify it.

Hey everybody, just wanted to bump this long dead thread and say that the site still exists and is still operating.  Remember to login and update your guild info sometime if you have one listed on the site.

HOLY CRAP!  :o

I just went to the mountain cliff city place!  Was I ever wrong about there not being anything new!  The place is HUGE!!!

Only problem is that I saw not a single player there anywhere.    Why aren't there a lot of people hanging out there?  Does any race spawn there?

*blinks*

Was the BD update that long ago?

Yeaz time flies by.

Ahh well guess playing for almost two ears does things with your brain :S

2006.07.04

hmm nope guess my brains wasn't fried yet. If you are really gone that long you must not have looked around that much as there have definately been areas added since seven months ago.

So, what's the newest place?  You are right, I haven't looked around everywhere yet.

Wow, karyuu, I can't believe you are still here as the moderator.  I was expecting everybody to be different in game and in the forums.  Actually, in the game there are a lot of new guilds I see around, and not too many people I recognize.

I've been gone quite a while as well... and now I am back, just finished installing the latest version... but I am sad to see that there are no new locations added yet.  Is somebody working on new locations?
