Same exact problem.

I\'m running on OSX 10.4.  I take it\'s expands to the other platforms as well.

Heh, did all that.

The only problem now is that it won\'t let me make a character.  Mann.  It gets stuck on the race screen and won\'t let you hit next/path.

I checked my system preferences (I\'m using Mac 10.4 as well) and turned off the firewall.  I still get the \"Failed\" message, and I\'m confused out of my mind.  I\'m new to the game, and I\'ve been trying to find a hint through the threads on what I\'m doing wrong.  Can someone help me out, please?  Thank you.
