I have the same problem see my post here (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=32075.0). Have you found a solution to this?

Try Weird graphics issues

yep, that fixed it for me. Still having some problems with the items in the inventory showing up as while boxes.

items are not displaying correctly for me. It's some sort of a graphics glitch. This is what they look like

Thanx in advance.

From irc in #planeshift a few days ago: (I hope kayden does not mind)

Code: [Select]
Kayden: glxinfo | grep Mesa     ....I'm presuming you have Mesa 7.x
Kayden: edit data/config/gldrivers.xml
Kayden: near the bottom there should be a rule
Kayden:     <rule description="Intel DRI: Disable ARB_fragment_program">
Kayden: change the pattern from 6\.5\.. to 7\.0\..
Kayden:         <regexp string="glversion" pattern="Mesa 7\.0\.." />

thanx that worked for me :)

Linux Specific Issues / Re: Client crashes after 3-5 minutes of loading

Nah, I think I'll quit this game. It's pretty slow, considering that I can run open arena at a high resolution and it flies. This game tends to crawl. Considering that I have a 3Ghz, 512MB ram, with an intel 915 integrated video card, this game should work fine, but it doesn't. Oh well, it's not a big deal. I wish best of luck to the developers and the community.

Good bye.

how much memory do you have in your computer?

I have 512 MBs, with an integrated video card that I believe consumes 32 MBs

Hello,

<start rant> This game went from working in 0.3.016 to buggy in 0.3.018 to completely unplayable in 0.3.019. <end rant>

Anyhoo, here is my problem. I can load the login screen, but then once I select the character and click join the game hangs and after 3-5 minutes the game's process is killed by the system for consuming too much memory.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an image of what the system does after this game hangs and attempts to consume too much memory.

Hello,

After installing feisty fawn (Ubuntu linux 7.04) The game fonts are messed up.

Any help in regards to this would be appreciated.

Check the file's md5 signature by running md5sum PlaneShift_CBV0.3.017.bin.

The result should be: 894d599bb43838a57d8d45dd911a6bdd

Seems to work if I run the installer from the command line like so

./PlaneShift_CBV0.3.017.bin --kdegnome gnome --mode gtk --prefix "/home/evgenyserver/PlaneShift-0.3.017"

just change the prefix to be the directory where you are installing the game.

Best regards
