I have a very similar configuration on the laptop but it works. Yes, it's a memory hog and yes, due to lack of drivers(module) from Intel it works like crap, but it works.
If you have a different video card than mine(GMA900 or something), you may not experience this kind of issue. Recommendation - either find an updated driver for your video card or... wait. PS has a lot of memory leaks and I've seen that throughout the releases, on various machines. I'm not sure what triggers them but it's not unheard of... and they are being fixed when identified.
Check your memory usage in a console when loading PS, with free -m from time to time and if it goes sky-high till it breaks, you have your answer. But then again, the error you receive is already very much on that track.
