Shall i update you on my progress? Great, well.. as suggested i tried a wired connection. When wired to my router i would get the same problem, but when i switched to my modem it seemed to work fine, but when i went to logged in again i got the 00415419 crash. Following instructions i fixed the game so that it worked again, then proceeded to set it back up in it's original wireless position. Oddly enough now the game works fine :woot: and I haven't got the server not responding message for.. oh about 10 minutes.

It would seem my problem is fixed  :D. Many thanks for all your help, though I still don't understand why it works now. Time to try out this neat game *cheers*.

Drat hm... If only i had a long enough cable... *ponders the situation*. I'll probably have to move around my pc. Thanks for the help, now to check if that's the problem :-\.

I'm wirelessly connected to a router, drat I knew I'd forget to mention something :sweatdrop:. And the only real firewall I have is the windows firewall, which I've tried disabling but doesn't help, as i guessed it wouldn't :-\.

Alright, so shall I explain my dilemma? Here goes, It all started on a hot summer day... oh wait this isn't supposed to be a story  :P.

I've have recently, after some time of work, Installed Planeshift, and succeded in updating it. After getting over some graphical issues, by using the very useful knowledge of the stickied threads :D, I found a new problem. Every time I log in to the server I cannot stay logged in for more than about 2 minutes, after which i get a sever not responding message.  This makes it impossible to make a customised character.

Is server not responding message my own problem, or a problem of the servers? I've already guessed it to be the server's problem but it's still happening after 3 days.

Also, while i go through the process of making a character some of the lists are itemless, so i have no choices, and I'm forced to log in and out several times to get them all to work properly :-\.

I've been reluctant to request help on the forums, but seeing as how I've run out of options,  I decided the time has come to ask if anyone has an antidote to my problems.

If it helps here are my specs:
Operating System~Windows XP
Processor~AMD Sempron 3000+ 2 GHz
Graphics Card~NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440
RAM~ 512 MB
Connection~DSL

I've read somewhat on something about enabling udp port 7777, but me, being not router savvy, am not sure I've enabled the port correctly. But, since I am able to connect for about 2 minutes each time, is that even necessarily the problem?

Thanks for any help you can offer and great game you've made here . (If I make a quick character instead of custom i can get into game, but still have a limited amount of time so yea didn't want to leave that out.)
