I used the windows zip wizard thing but i extracted it onto the planeshift file on programs/start menu and stuff...Looks like you patched your start menu instead of the game.

Locate the game folder ( typically C:\Program Files\PlaneShift Crystal Blue ) and unzip the files there. Select to replace any existing files, then run the updater.
