i would say nothing....i am not 100% but i think crystal blue is 0.4? i am not sure but its not the proper game and when i left last year they were running the like trial of it to people to report back....and i dont see that much has changed because the people who work on it arnt paid to do so so they do it in spare time. It means it will take longer to make but will be free....i had the same problem with updater and left it after a few hours and shut it down and came up 20 mins later to find mum on the charactor select screen -_- computers dont like me

I was las online about september 06 i think but i could not handle the problems and left, promising to return. Well i am back and after being ill for a week and getting a better computer for xmas i have decided to give this another shot! I have been playing Everquest II, sorry guys but thats compleate and comes in a CD

If anyone remembers me from last time i had bad provlems with downloading as alot did actually...but i have a download manager so if i can get it to work download should be no problem.

So whats changed? if anything?

*EDIT* Already the download isnt working hmmm is it ok to use limewire? it "copys" songs and stuff for those who dont know would i be able to use limewire to get the game form someone?

I mean the computer i just mentioned above isn't even high end, i consider it an average computer, and if you could afford it, buy a nicer one than the one stated above.

And you'll have very little problems playing this game.

I don't crash much, and it only happens when the server Hiccups, lol .

I'll admit, it does crash, more than average games, but you'll get used to it.

I frankly feel the dev's don't really need to change anything as to the specs of the game.

The only thing i would change is that @#$!$# $:@#\$ @%$$# server, omg I HATE that @#!@# !#@$#@$ !#$%$#@ $:@#\$ !

PLEASE, HAVE MERCY, destroy the fragnetics server, please God.

I know you guys arn't rolling in money and it's hard for you to afford a server.

That's why i'll live with the server, but i'm openly going to admit I hate that piece of #@@#.

When i figure out how to make my backup computer into a server i'll gladly donate it to PS.

hmmm if you read, the mains points were downloading.....i know if my comp isnt great it wont play....duh thats obvious! And it downloads but the prob is it takes ages, there are problems with mirrors, bittorrent. Just because you can dwnload and play it really well does not make all the other people retarded

I hope your not mad or somthing cause you sound it.

Oh cool about the players, and i wish i could help but i know diddlysquat about game mechanics.

I understand is it dictated by the ammount of free time you have, and then if someone isnt pulling their weight, the whole thing collapses.

i appreciate it and i know this and accept it. I'm not saying to get a move on and get it better, i am giving my 2 pennies.

Yes i know you can say "But we knew this anyway why bother telling us?" but erm....hmmm i duno. I think its cause i like to complain or sumthing lmao. On a serious note though it was for the people who wernt aware that they are persavering even though some dont like it...yeah i guess it was a useless topic really

Oh i understand you have other lives and its a hobby thing.

Hehe i have looked around and WOW=needs about a £500 comp to even think about playing it, same for everquest, and guild wars. AND they cost!?!?!?!?!?! Planeshift, for value, is the best and i plan to check again every version hopefully.

But i know you are trying out the download on different things.....and i guess its working, but not very well if theres only 190 people (there the ones that downloaded it right)

Oh i havnt really thanked you for trying to help me get it up and running. Other times you get directed to a list of instructions

But i will definatly come back and get my friends on it.

p.s i didnt want to uninstall it but with it not working well and taking up so much room on the laptop (coulnt get it to work on main comp yet) my mum made me uninstall it

I have decided not to play ps yet as i agree with the ratings on some sites.....70% of the ratings were below 4/10

The reasons for this were:

Lagging
Crashing ALOT
Hard to download
Time consuming download

I dont know what people here think but i agree, i finally got it working (go mum!) but it lagged alot, i thought it was because i had detail set to high, so i set it to about 5-20....it still lagged and crashed alot. I think upgrading it fast will make it more popular, lets face it, 190 players is ABISMAL.

Good thats its free but get it upgraded faster as i know we are the testers for it at the mo, but its been what 2 years and it is on Version 0.3.....thats about 6 more years to get to version 1...

Just my 2 cents, well pennies i'm english

Thoughts?

P.S Whenn it did work, and the ideas you lot have for it, it looks amazing, is easy to play and its just fantastic...the downloading/laggin/crashing weighs it down like a brick. Get that sorted, and alot of people wont care about the lack of stuff in it i think

Ok then it finally plays...but it is all lag and jittery...how could i make it faster? I have removed all background music and reduced the graphics thing. but it is still lagging....does it mean that after 2 days of working i cant play it anyway?

i had that problem too..actually, i am again lol. Hmmm try unzipping things again, it got it working for me yesturday then it wont work today $:@#\$

Hmmm after unzipping things again do what i am doing now and uninstall it again and reinstall it. A bugger i know. Oh yeah be warned when i ran updater first time it took liek another 2 hours (2 hours installing, 2 hours messing round gettin it to work, 2 hours updater,) so it takes ages.

Afer you reinstalled it if it still doesnt work i am going to wait till version .5 mayby to see if its easier.

(p.s you might have the wrong zipped file? I know it sounds dumb but on hte dwnload screne, 1 of the links downloads it damaged and another downloads it with nothing in the file, just an empty zipped folder lol)

I spent ages yesturday getting the updater to work but it was to late to play the game, now it wont werk again

i think i know why.... on this page (http://www.planeshift.it/download.html) the link on the notice for windows downloads the zip file you need, but that file, when you extract it says it contains no files..

i have uninstalled it and am reinstalling it

its doing somthing now...i unzipped the update folder in the ps file...its on music/arena1 now....is the bottom bar ment to go up on hte update thingy
