Exploiting is a good name :)

I sold some quality 60/60 daggers for 300 tria, since they are not much better than Trasoks or Harnquists dagger.
One of them who i sold the dagger say some days to me, that he stacked my 60/60 daggers with daggers from a other crafter what had the highest quality (300/300) and now he have daggers with 200/200 quality.

So what can we do for such people?
The other thing is, we can stack our crafted weapons to standard weapons, sold by Trasok or Harnquist. I told them a game master and the answer was that is maybe a feature.

Now if someone would stuck the exploited 300/300 daggers with Harnquists or Trasoks dagger to get the double amount of weapons with 150/150 or something else, who can control them? Does taken away all daggers, swords or weapons decreases the exploiters?
I made 15 daggers with the high quality, i sold some of them, some other I gave away to friends. Now does i know, who use them to stuck the weapons to other weapons?
The other thing is, some month ago, we was able to make 1000/1000 weapons, and Talad saw, that 300 is max. So making max weapons is cheating? And how long does you find the weapons in the world?
I have no problem if the quality greater than 150 set to 150, but taken out all weapons is the wrong way, some of the crafters buy the raw materials from other people.

Now there is a new bug, where i found a people who used the bug knowingly, i does not knowing the bug, but as i talked to him he stumbled some meaningless answers and going off.

The 300/300 weapons where able to make only 3 days!

But the day bevore, we only was able to make 70/70 quality weapons with high skill, and now we are able to make 70/70 or lower weapons again with high skill.

But i think, that a quality around 150 would be a good choice for the weapons.

Some players train for making good weapons for month.

Now i have Blacksmith 21 and Knife making 14, the best weapon i can craft is daggers with quality 70/70 now, how can i sell them?
I've made 5 days auctions to sell them at 300 tria each dagger, but there are no players who want them, the same thing is, there are no players who have money to buy them. A beginner who have 300 tria to buy weapons, cant use the money for his training.

Don't forget, this is only a game, and we have not the amount of time to spend weeks or month to make weapons wat we can't sell.

Why doesn't it do like that, if i want to make mass of daggers for low prizes and training, i have only to make dagger blade and then combine them. If i like to make some highest daggers, i spent some days at the forge to raise the quality, then i make a low amount of verry good daggers for good friends or for selling at a higher prize? (Quality = Quality + 0.1 * Skill)

I think some Crafters get borred, if they train for a long time and can't make good weapons for sell.

Now we can make dagger and knife blades, but at the book of blades, there we need leather knife handles, can we buy them at a merchant?

I've found a merchant, who sell the leather knife handles :) Now we are able to make Knife and Dagger now, no more weapon repair kits.

Problem solved! I installed with Gnome for KDE and found no entry in the file psclient.cfg

Hello there!

I can't install the client for openSUSE 10.x 64bit, and the same problem I had with the 0.3.019 client.

At the License Agreement, the window freeze and i can't go on with installation.

Last time i installed a realy old version without the license Agreement, I think it was  < 0.3.018 and updated the client with the updater and the client works fine.
But this time is no client update availlable.

I think the best way to treaten them is to reset their charackter, set all stats to 40 and all skills to 0 and clean there inventory.

If the npc server does not work corectly and the monsters do not attack me, I only kill monsters I could kill if the npc server work.

I hope next time the people have honour to report a bug fastly if someone can raise money or items. Do it for the economy, it is not fun to have x million of trias and buy all trainings or items you want!

Grendol have sometimes weakness glyphs you can loot.
If you kill hundreds of them you get some glyphs, but you must sell them only if you need money

A Mage would want to learn all the 6 ways of magic and master them
And they likely could, to a point--but realistically no mage that did equally well in all spell schools would be as good as one who specialized in one, simply because the one who is specializing would be able to put time into his or her specialty at the detriment of his other magical skills (particularly opposing ways), because of habit building and whatnot.  It's the same in real life, with doctors:  generalists are never as good as specialists in the specialist's field, but might be able to diagnose or pass along a patient to the appropriate specialist in a much better way.

A mage that want to learn all magic ways is extreme expensive, he have to learn some other skills for pay the costs of training.
I've seen not one character to have all skills at magic way mastered!
I've seen not one person who have mastered all crafting skills. I saw some who train for mastering sword making, and i know one who train for mastering daggers.
And who mastered all weapon and armor skills, do they can fight the uber Ulbernauts? No, they did not, they have to wait if there are other trainers comming and train higher.

For example:
I've crystal way 70 and each training costs about 30.000 trias, i heared the crystal way can be trained beyond skill 100. Then i've to train red, azure...
[I think this needs one or two years for me, but what is in one year? Skill 200, Skill 300?]

And for real life: a blacksmith must make hundred thousands of swords to be mastered. but is he mastered? did he make never mistakes ever? No, he is the best smith in swords but he also have to learn. "A rolling stone gathers no moss."


I think the balancing in game is perfect and the balancing of powerlevelers and roleplayers is perfect.
The people who do only powerleveling, they are borred in short time and you do not see them a long time online and you see them never again.
I started playing PlaneShift and the first i've read the players guide to fit the best character to me, then i did is some powerleveling for training some magic ways. But i like roleplaying games and read the storys of Talad and Laanx...
Do not force the powerleveler to do roleplay or do you think they are the best roleplayers? They must make their steps in roleplay to see if they like that or not.

I have a idea how to make the quest system more improved for people.
The problem now is: player A get a quest and player B must wait if the time for the quest is running out to get a quest on the same NPC.

Now the idea:
Each character have 10 entrys in his database and one for a pointer

Database QuestForEachCharacter
Nr.QuestNrTimestamp
0#11 hour in future
1#162 week in future
>2#64timeout
...
9#0(no quest)

The player solved a new quest:
pointer++;
if (pointer > 9)
  pointer = 0;
QuestNr = Nr
Timestamp = now + time waiting for this quest

Now the player want to make quest #1 again, the server look into the character table and find quest #1 and see he must wait for the quest "No task for you today"
Player ask for a quest:
